Today was a vibe! When I checked out this location a few months back, I didn’t know what the buzz was all about because I didn’t like the food. However, I went back today and they definitely redeemed themselves. The food was amazing!! I got the steak & cheese rolls and crabmeat deviled eggs. Man!!!! Soooooo good. Let me not forget about the cornbread. What kind of magic honey did that drizzle on that fo shizzle! Delicious! I ended up taking a few bites and asked for a to go bag, so I could enjoy the rest later. Our server, Ms. Deaisy was so cute and quaint. Great customer service from the time we were seated until we left. And I loved the ambiance. I came at the right time because there wasn’t a lot of people in the restaurant and those that were there we were talking, singing (because the music was popping) and laughing. I would definitely go again 🙂

Najhmier and jordan have amazing customer service for the moment I walked in to when I left, they made me feel right at home very quick speedy service made me really feel like family. I brought my husband back for happy hour today. Another amazing day of great service. I truly love dining at Miss Toya’s and Laurel because of them God bless you and your staff and keep up the great work.

Hits: service, Catfish, Grits-creamy not gritty, Pork Chops, Fried.Chicken, home fries, pancakes, crab legs are the best I’ve ever had. Raw oysters are plump and fresh.
Misses: no horseradish for the oysters-someone should’ve walked to Harris Teeter, Steak-fatty, over cooked and tough as leather the great flavor was wasted. Fried deviled eggs-bland. The ones up the street at Hide Out are the best. The “cheesy” eggs had no cheese.
Overall, most of the items were very good. I definitely will go back and try some of the other items. Emily is amazing!

Went on a Friday during lunch time. Had the gumbo with cornbread 10/10. Gumbo was nicely done. Cornbread was swimming in a bowl of butter literally tasted like pound cake was amazing. Not too sweet just perfect. Got the peach lemonade I believe and that was so good. No complaints at all were seated immediately. Server was nice. Buffalo wings were sauced up and still crunchy.

I came to the restaurant specifically for the fried green tomato’s. Yes service was super slow, the restaurant was not busy, I think there was only one waiter working. The 20% service fee on every party is confusing. I still tipped the waiter. The greeter was very pleasant.
The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered a grilled salmon blt which is supposed to come with French fries. When my plate arrived there were no fries. I asked the waiter and he said he wasn’t sure if the sandwich came with fries. The fried green tomato’s are amazing. My fellow diner ordered a Caesar salad and sweet potato’s on the side which did not disappoint. The menu is pricey and I would want to go back but I believe for this restaurant to succeed they should work on service and training. I noticed a lot of take out orders. I don’t eat out in a restaurant often and when I do I want to be wowed to want to come back.

We have visited 2 other locations; Silver Spring and Baltimore City. This location we were not pleased with. All of our sides came to the table cold. We visited this location in the mid-afternoon so it wasn’t crowded. I ordered catfish with mashed potatoes and greens and my partner ordered catfish with sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese. I also had a piece of cornbread. As you can see in the pictures, there was barely any honey on the cornbread that was delivered in a bowl, and the fish was greasy. The sweet tea is FANTASTIC though! The server was very nice and did get us new hot sides after informing him. I’ll just stick with the other locations.

Came with some coworkers of mines on Feb 28th 2026 for a bday. Service was ok. The food was horrible. Me being a well known critic decided to try it out also cause im a major Soul Food Lover this was everything but good. I started with the dry rub cajun wings it was ok fried extra hard barely taste the seasoning. So when to the cajun shrimp pasta, abolutley nasty. The pasta was over cooked and dry. Definitly can tell it was under the heater way to long. Could not eat it. Next tried the crab leg (and yes they only give you one small cluster at a time) it came out and it was so dry and burnt looking. I told them i aint even want it i was done. It was a horrible experiance. The Lemonade was good. But keep in mind there not part of the unlimited it by each glass. None of this was explained. Also they dont do split checks which that wasnt said until after we was done. This actully turned me off from her brand that i wont even try the other locations. Maybe there good for the drinks (im not a drinker) but the people was feeling nice.
