I visited this shabu shabu restaurant last week, and it was incredible!
They offer 7 flavorful soup bases bone broth, spicy seafood, sukiyaki, miso, kombu, house broth, and beef broth.
There are 10 types of meat and 10 kinds of seafood, plus the self-service bar is packed with so many options I couldn’t even count them all. Fresh ingredients, amazing sauces, and side dishes galore!
They also cater to everyone with gluten-free, soy-free, and vegetarian options, which is a huge plus.
The restaurant was spotlessly clean, the atmosphere was cozy, and the servers were incredibly kind and attentive. It made the whole experience feel even more special.
I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
We arrived at opening, so the bar wasn’t fully stocked with their hot items, but the veggies and seafood options were pretty full. I grabbed some fish cakes, crab, bok choy, Napa cabbage and some kimchi. For sauce, I mixed some ponzu, grated radish, sambal and some water (mul) kimchi.
For soup stock, we got the Bone and Beef broth. The soup flavor was pretty bland, but it gains more depth as you cook more stuff in the soup. Meats are endless, so our first round included Chuck Eye, Brisket, Beef Belly and Lamb.
The lamb was sooo dry and a bit tough. Brisket and beef belly were a little too fatty, but the beef belly was more tender. Our fave ended up being Chuck Eye as it had decent marbling, so we stuck with this option for the meal.
Overall, it was just alright. The shabu feels a bit more geared toward the Korean palate and had a larger variety of seafood choices, but it just wasn’t our vibe.
i have ordered the spicy seafood broth, and there is 1/4 size of crab in it. i am happy with my experience, will come again for sure.
