Great hot dog. Found this spot vis Google maps and it didn’t disappoint. Been a local staple for decades. Only issue is location. Its in side a mall. Not a reason to skip a visit. Just have to park in mall lot and walk in. Seating is in mall so atmosphere isn’t the best. Most people seemed to get take out rather than eat there.

Went on a Friday around 1pm. They had a lunch rush right after we got there. The cashier and owner were both friendly and patient even though the line was out the door. The hotdogs were delicious!! Will definitely be coming back for more.

This was one of the best hot dogs I’ve had anywhere. Very friendly service. High quality ingredients. It’s small, but it was comfortable and authentic.

I tried a classic: cheese, Coney sauce, and bacon. The bun was so soft, the temperature was perfect, and the Coney sauce was delicious. They piled on crumbled bacon! Honestly, it might be worth the two-hour drive from Atlanta when I crave one next week … and there’s no doubt I’ll think about this from time to time.

I really was expecting a hole lot much better hotdogs in this place ..
I rather eat a hotdogs in Costco or Sams then this place the chilli was cold and the beans were hard and it had a really nasty taste ..
I got a footlong and add chilli in which i has to take it off of my hotdog cuz it was a nasty taste on my hotdog and also my dog looks kinda greenish ..
Also has a sausage of something I just can’t even say how bad all of these dogs and chilli was that I regret paying 22 dollars in this meal ..
I just would better yet gone to eat some pizza in Ooltewah that Defazio’s pizza is a thousand times better then the hotdogs these people sell ..
The chilli I could make it three times better then what these people cell ..

I had been craving a hot dog for some time. I drive by here daily and never stopped in due to the limited business hours. Saw that they were open and popped in. Greeted as soon as the door opened. I ordered the classic Kitchen Sink and a sweet Tea to go. The dog was absolutely delicious! The tea was definitely southern sweet Tea. A lil pricey at 12 bucks with a tip for a hot dog, but it’s definitely delicious and worth it.

Will be back if I can catch them open.

I was kinda thrown off with the hot dog being bright red on the outside and brown on the inside. I took one bite and that was it…. Wouldn’t recommend. Did not look appetizing at all. And it was $9 for a hot dog with ketchup.

So I just tried my first hotdog from this fine establishment, technically from the food truck, but either way I got the Frito Dog and it’s was by the best hotdog I’ve ever had. I’ve thought about that Frito Dog every day since then. If you haven’t tried this place yet, seriously get to it. You won’t regret it.

Being from Alabama where we have a Sneaky Pete’s Hot dog chain (which is the best) this place not only has variety they have homemade ingredients and was originally established in the 1900’s by a black women who caused traffic problems and brought in bank!! I love even the history behind it. Her last names are Hawkins and Griffin which are both common in Birmingham, AL yet distinct at the same time. I have ties to both last names and on my first visit as I Read the history was absolutely grateful to be a 2022 1st time customer. her legacy and some of her own recipes still live on!!
