Miss Betty is an absolutely lovely lady and all of her food was incredible! The wontons were the best wontons I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve never had a wonton that tender before!

The best spot in town! Super happy we stopped at Miss Betty’s Magic Wok. Got rice plates that were superb. Cash only.
Miss Betty’s smile is absolutely infectious and what a happy and amazing place to visit. Highly recommended to anyone in the Oak Ridge TN area.

It was my first time coming, and the atmosphere was just what I was looking for. Family-owned and family-run. Good portions and cheap price. Cash only, but I like it that way because I know it’s authentic. I tried tipping, but they said they would appreciate it more if I came back, so that is what I will be doing. It’s a blessing to have this much love and quality put into the food.

Jim and Betty are great people. They are both retired STEM professionals doing what they love… feeding people and visiting with the locals. The food is amazing. They typically have only a few items on the menu… Wontons and Cashew Chicken (regular and spicy). They are Super friendly, I always look forward to seeing their smiling faces. They are local ICONS and an inspiration to all of us. Its primarily carryout, although there are a few seats at the counter.

Amazing owners and fantastic food. Be aware that what they decide to make for the day is what you are getting. From what I can tell that is usually Cashew Chicken Spicy, Cashew Chicken Regular, and Beef-filled wontons. This is not a Panda Express-style establishment. If you are on the fence about spicy, I would go for it. It did not burn my taste buds off. *Cash Only*, which is fine with me, but make sure you have enough cash on hand for the food + tax. There are plenty of ATMs close by. They are only open M-F 10AM to 2PM. I work outside of Oak Ridge, so it took about two-months before I had a day off that allowed me to make it by closing time. But it was so worth it. The inside is small, so you will most likely want to take it to go or eat outside. My dad was in the Air Force so I was blessed to see much of the world at a young age. I say this because in South Korea, Japan, Thailand, etc….. this type of small setup is extremely common. In the United States it is more of a rarity unless in a major city like New York, Chicago, etc. I personally love it, as it is unique and not the standard cookie-cutter restaurant setup. However, if you are looking for a familiar sit-down table-service experience, you would want to give it a shot another time. My favorite part of the experience was talking with the owners, very genuine and kind-hearted.

Food was very good, very tasty in fact and pretty well prize nothing too crazy…
But apparently they only make one dish a day for like 5 hours straight. Which I didn’t know?? Was expecting a place that like had a menu where you could pick what you want.
What to make a long story short it was actually very good food I never had cashew chicken before. Never thought I would like it but with that being the only choice I tried it and it was actually really good.
Update?? Yes they have delicious cashew chicken and wontons…
But do they ever cook anything different??

The best place ever!!! So welcoming and nice. If I lived here I would come every day just to see Ms. Betty’s smiling face. It was like having a meal prepared and served to you like your grandmother would. Thank you for blessing us with your wonderful food and kindness.
