Miso Phat Maui Coast The pie is actually a cup of maybe 4 ounces so beware of that item. For $10 can you just serve a slice of pie? server was awesome but the manager on duty was a walking mess. She was sloppy dressed and had the audacity at 633to state she needed our table at 7 to seat the next group. We sat at 535 and hadn’t received all the items we ordered and needed to place a takeout order for a guest who couldn’t make it as last minute parent duties were required. To expect us to leave in an hour and a half after ordering $400 in food and drinks is disappointing. The server made up for it and deserved the $400 I left. Our go to is OAO and this experience left a bad taste. Not sure if we will return.

I absolutely loved the food and I’m really picky when it comes to sushi. For sushi lovers like me, I can confidently say this is the best spot on Maui! I had high expectations and they were met. Also, our server was INCREDIBLE. Reed answered all of our questions and gave us the best recommendations! The restaurant it self is also beautiful.
To the owner, I wish all the success!

We had a great dinner with excellent table service. We had to wait a bit longer to be seated, which could have been avoided. Despite that, meal was well prepared and plentiful. It came out quickly. Well done.

Honestly – so disappointed. They need John T or take notes from Oao.
8-10 mins before a server even walked over to our table. We did not get our drinks until after some food arrived. The bartenders were just chit chatting. Other food we did not get.
It was not overly busy. There was no urgency to provide any type of great customer service.
Food- meh.
Over all- go to Oao sushi- you’ll get nothing but the BEST.

Spent $300 for some of the worst sushi we have ever had. We’ve been to the other location and loved it, so was excited to try this new location but the sushi itself was offensively bad. Fish was not fresh, a total hack job of knife work and nigiri made totally incorrectly. Rolls were so large and sloppily made they fell apart upon touching them. Honestly offensive to charge the amount they’re charging and have sushi chefs who seem like they’ve never worked with sushi before in their life. Beautiful space and service was friendly but the food was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Avoid.

We had a very attentive server, and the food was excellent: no complaints there.
Along with other items, we had 6 rolls, which were served with 3 tiny dishes of a little wasabi and a dab of ginger. In addition, we had ordered 7 different nigiri selections, which came with no additional wasabi/ginger. Needless to say, we asked for a more ginger, which our server provided, a tiny dish with a dab about the size of a walnut. We made it work, but it would have been nice to have a little bit more.
The unacceptable part of this was that we were charged $4 for that little dab of ginger, which should have been provided to start with! I hate getting nickel and dimed, it is a shame that a very nice dinner, along with its more than $250 bill has to be ruined by charging $4 for a small dab of ginger.
Don’t think I’ll go back.

Quite frankly, this place follows the norm of nearly all other restaurants I’ve been to in Hawaii: overpriced and disgusting. $40 for a tiny, mediocre California roll, a tiny piece of salmon, a softball of white rice, and, don’t forget, HAIR.

I ordered a poke bowl and there wasn’t a description of what will be in it. The menu was vague. Ended up waiting an hour for the bowl and saw them make it in front of me in 1 minute. Very plain and no sauce. Left early because spider roll didn’t come out yet either after all that wait time.
