✨ A New Year’s Eve Culinary Flight
Miso Mozza | Federal Hill, Providence
This spot was nothing short of magical. From the moment we sat down, the vibe was right — elegant, warm, and festive. For New Year’s Eve, we wanted something memorable, and Miso Mozza delivered on all fronts.
Appetizers = A Flight to Japan
• The Toro Truffle Crispy Rice was rich and delicate — melt-in-your-mouth with that perfect crisp crunch.
• The Binchotan Wagyu Skewers brought the flavor and had just the right balance of char and tenderness.
• And the Sushi Special with Lobster on Top? Chefs kiss — complex, fresh, and beautifully plated.
For Dinner
• My wife Hilary had the Mafaldine Salt & Pepper Squid, which was like Calamari and Pasta and boy was it different but in a good way, paired with a fresh Strawberry Margarita — light, punchy, and refreshing.
• I went full Italian mode and tapped into my roots with the Chicken Parmesan Pasta, paired with an Aperol Spritz — classic, bold, and perfect. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the flavor was spot on.
Atmosphere & Service
Even on New Year’s Eve — one of the busiest nights of the year — the service was exceptional, the decorations were stunning, and the ingredients tasted fresh and thoughtfully curated.
Value? 100%. For the quality, service, and ambiance, the prices were more than fair. Would absolutely recommend this spot for date night, celebrations, or when you’re just craving something elevated.

Went here for lunch on a sunday and has the pleasure of being the only table booked in the restaurant so it was very quiet and peaceful. I had the sesame salmon, spicy tuna and miso cod hand rolls. The sesame salmon was pretty boring, spicy tuna was delicious but the star of the show was the miso cod. It was was incredible. Buttery, umami flavors with just enough saltiness. Yum!
The toro truffle crispy rice was also a highlight. It hit in all the right ways. crunchy, chewy, creamy, sweet and salty. I can’t wait to go back and try the pastas.

Dined here on Christmas Eve. Cozy and festive atmosphere. Kevin was our server/bartender. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. While I loved the Japanese food we ordered. I did not like the squid ink pasta. The pasta was rubbery and the sauce lackluster. Other than that, we had a great experience!

What a gem! Came here with a party of 9 for happy hour specials and can not express how amazing the experience and food was. Craft cocktails, an extensive sake list, appetizers and sushi handrolls were just a few of the standouts. The bartender Kevin, the owner Joy and our server Thomas were attentive and so friendly. We tried the new spicy miso wings and couldn’t get enough. The atmosphere and service were stellar.

Great concept to put in a cozy spot on the Hill. Stumbled upon it while on a date night walk to decide on a spot for some food/drinks. Our server excellent: friendly service and eager to tell us the highlights of the menu since it was our first time. The food was fantastic: only got small plates and a couple hand rolls, but could easily see and taste the quality ingredients and care that went into the dishes. The cocktails were great as well, and the dessert was a perfect little ending to the meal. Reasonable price for the quality you get. Definitely coming back!

Tried a new restaurant in Federal Hill. Miso Mozza. They have been open for one month so was not sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decor and the amazing service. Ask for Kevin he will entertain you as he provides top notch service. The food is a Japanese Italian fusion. I’ve had Japanese French fusion before so was intrigued to see what the Italian twist would provide. Was not disappointed. The food surprised and delighted. So stop by and support a new restaurant with a different view on the food world. Tuna tartare, grilled shrimp, steak, squid ink pasta, chicken parm, and hand roll sushi all recommended. Had an awesome dinner at Miso Mozza. I got the rigatoni shrimp pesto and it was spot on, had flavor, perfectly cooked pasta, and plenty of shrimp. My server Marie was excellent and recommended the strawberry matcha margarita, which was surprisingly really good. I even had some sake that went down smooth. The place has a nice atmosphere and the staff were great especially Marie. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.
