Its been years since we’ve been in there and the last time wasn’t that good. The beer selection is excellent and our food was outstanding! Service was excellent and she made several helpful suggestions and feedback. Highly recommend anyone looking for great food, drink and service at a very reasonable price.

Our first time visit but probably the last.
We visited because although they only have a 4.1 the photos of the food looked decent and we like to give new places a chance of being one of our go to spots.
First of the service was very good!
The bar tender was friendly and very quick with our beverages.
Only knick I ordered one of their “Fresh” deli sandwiches and she brought me a “grilled” I like a cold sandwich but I can live with a grilled one
We ordered a coney dog with their “homemade” coney sauce. It was much like a Detroit style coney but left a lot to be desired when it comes to presentation and the meat was very chunky for coney sauce.
The Deli sandwich I ordered was nothing like what I seen in some of the past photos.
Combo pastrami and corned beef.
1. VERY little meat.
2. The meat was shaved with the grain and undercooked (roasted) from the start and was extremely rubbery and tough, we could hardly bite through or chew it what little was there.
3. The meat was fatty and grisly. It was either poorly trimmed or they’re leaving all that when slicing to cut corners but made for a bad dining experience when you’re expecting a “Deli style” sandwich.
My wife had the “wet burrito”.
Let’s start with it came out on a Plate and simply looked like a pile full of straight out of the fridge cold shredded Mexican style cheese. Couldn’t even see the “burrito” or the cold nacho chips that were buried underneath and of course the fridge cheese did nothing for the barley warm to begin with burrito.
That being said we agreed if it were served hot with melted cheese the correct way would probably been a decent dish of food. Unfortunately the photo of that was rather blurry so it’s not pictured.

The brussel sprouts were everything as described. Generous portion for the price, prepared well and really delicious.
As mentioned the food didn’t taste bad but was very POORLY presented and if that’s their normal procedures it’s not worth the $70 we worked so hard to earn but willing to share with businesses that take the time to earn it the way we did.

Had the sweetest, waitress with many recommendations and a positive attitude. Recommended the wings for an appetizer, we were not disappointed. First of all 12 boneless wings for 8.75 with a signature sauce? Say yes! Second, blackberry bbq, must try! Third, food is homemade, not microwaved and tastes fresh and comes out hot. Will 100% be revisiting!

The band ” Just Us” started playing cover songs, 70’s and 80’s rock. They were awesome.
We ordered drinks that were on point.
Had the “Smoked Brisket Macaroni and Cheese” that seemed to be a favorite here, and it didn’t disappoint.
The atmosphere here is really enjoyable.
I highly recommend this as a great night out when you come up to Houghton Lake.

Went in for a little dinner and drinks. One of the waitresses was out smoking weed when we walked in. Girl with blonde hair that is a waitress was rude and disrespectful. I made a comment about how we waited 20 mins to get a refill on drinks but she was serving the table behind us with refills and hasn’t asked us and we just want or tab to leave with manners she came back with an attitude and said it’s my 3rd day and walked away. We paid my boyfriend was using the bathroom so I waited by the bathroom. I over heard her talking to another waitress about the situation and us not leaving a tip. I stepped over and told her maybe wait until your customers are out to talk crap about them. A tip was not given because of the poor service. Will never be going here again. For the first time coming here it was kind of upsetting about the service that was given.

Their perch and cod were delicious, and the side of baked beans were over the top! Hush puppies are a MUST TRY!! I could’ve made a meal out of those alone. Kaylyn (?) was a great hostess! We’ll be back for the brisket and mac n cheese next time!
