First time here! I have driven past this place for the last 20 years and then never stopped in. Today I stopped in for lunch and I was not disappointed. I ordered the #4 Spicy Chicken and I was surprised at the portions! Itnwas almost more than I could eat…. almost. The food was really good and the prices were fair. I can’t wait to come back and try some of the sushi. The staff were super nice and the place was clean! I will definitely be back.

We have loved Little Tokyo for more than 20 years, which means that this restaurant has lasted way longer than the average Springfield restaurant. And it’s endurance is due to reasonably-priced, delicious food and courteous service. My favorite is the hibachi chicken meal which comes with chicken, noodles, fried rice, and vegetables (zucchini, onion, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots). It’s a lot of food, and entrees also come with a trip to the salad bar. I don’t know what’s in that creamy salad dressing, but I love it (dream of it/would bathe in it). We also get sushi. Most simple, non-specialty rolls are less than $6 and very fresh and delicious. There’s no chef tossing onion rings onto his hat, but that keeps costs down. So if you want Japanese food but don’t want to pay for a show, Little Tokyo is what you’re looking for.

As soon as you walk in to this place you just know the food is gonna be great. The atmosphere is very homely. The waiter we had was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. The food came out quick and tasted great. This restaurant will be a new favorite for my family. Great place.

This place surprised me. I went in there with normal expectations and left talking about how good it was and very affordable I would have to say. I don’t think a lot of people know that it’s the old little Tokyo. Or I think there would be more business there maybe I’ll just there during a slow part of day. It’s just down the street from my job so I’ll be definitely going back ASAP!!

Long time customer, frequently used to dine-in or would pick up food to-go after calling in a pickup order. However after tonight, not certain we will be back – which is pretty upsetting as this is my favorite place for sushi. We called in an order for pickup ahead of time, was told our wait time and then headed over around the given time. We ended up having to wait an ANOTHER 40 MINUTES, watching people who arrived and ordered after us get much more food than us (we ordered two sushi rolls). The son came out and said “my dad is crazy, your rolls are sitting right there ready to be made but he keeps making other orders and food”. My husband used to work at the restaurant and after what the son said, we are sure that the owner decided that we would be fine waiting for our food – despite the fact that we are still paying customers! Extremely upsetting experience to be just disregarded and pushed off. Ended up having to ask for a refund to leave considering they hadn’t even started on our order after over a HOUR.

We had a great time! Nice family oriented atmosphere. We ordered 2 entrees and a variety of rolls to share. We of course ordered way too much, but the prices were amazing which made it very affordable to try such a variety. I selected $10-20 but you could eat for less. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely incredible! My new favorite! The sushi quality is fantastic, the hibachi and entree portions are huge, and you won’t break the bank! The ingredients are fresh, and nothing is greasy or overly oily. The service is also great, with food coming out quickly, and drinks never sitting empty. You won’t go wrong ordering anything off the menu, because it’s all delicious!

Inflation hit that hard? No meat! We used to love this hole in the wall, but tonight the sushi might’ve been the worst I’ve ever had. I am averaging the four stars I should’ve posted a few months ago, with the zero I’d have given it tonight.
