My husband and I decided to visit this restaurant on a Friday night and were able to walk in without a reservation.

The food was a mixed experience. The Crispy Rice with spicy tuna and hamachi didn’t impress. It was served in firm rice squares that were very hard on the outside and softer in the center, but the contrast felt too dense rather than pleasantly crisp. The standout for me was the Delicata Squash Tempura—crispy, light, and flavorful. The other dishes were good but not particularly memorable. The matcha cake was a highlight.

The space itself is beautiful and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows and lovely views. Service was a bit slow but very friendly.

I don’t mean to sound overly critical, but with so many great Japanese restaurants in NYC, there are stronger options that offer more refined execution and better overall value.

I’m giving this place the benefit of the doubt. The food and service weren’t the best but they were very good but the views from this place are spectacular. The crispy rice -the rice part of it was perfect but the himashi was kind of boring and the sweet potato tempura had no sweet potato taste (the rings need to be thicker). The pork belly portion was very tiny and served lukewarm. Definitely coming back and especially worth a try while you can get $30 off on In-Kind plus the 20% credit. (Half off a $100 meal). Worth it.

Absolutely loved my experience at Miru! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and every dish felt thoughtfully crafted. The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy so perfect for a special dinner or a relaxed evening with friends.
Huge thanks to the manager Elizabeth for being incredibly attentive, warm, and professional. And special shoutout to our waiter Pasang, he was so kind, attentive, and made the whole evening feel extra comfortable and enjoyable. Service like this makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend Miru! ✨

I had an amazing time at Miru, a beautiful rooftop restaurant. Even though I went during the colder weather, I still took time to explore the rooftop, which overlooks the Hudson River. The space is incredibly spacious and elegant and is a perfect place for a date night.

The service was excellent, and the staff were so kind and attentive to my friend and me. I enjoyed authentic Japanese food and drinks, which really gave me a taste of the culture. Everything was delicious.

For dessert, I had the matcha and red bean ice cream. I also tried the Crispy Rice, Kushiyaki Wagyu, and the Buta Kakuni. It was such a great experience getting to try dishes I’d never had before.

Great food and atmosphere. Having a sushi restaurant on the rooftop park is icing on the cake especially when you get the sunset views and an excellent background music playing. Fidel took real care of me and was knowledgeable on the dishes, excellent hospitality from him. Would definitely come back next time.

This new Japanese lounge is an absolute gem. The interior is stunning—modern, elegant, and designed with a true sense of style that creates a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere. The floor-to-ceiling windows open up to breathtaking city and river views, making it a perfect spot for a romantic evening or a relaxed evening with friends.
The menu is just as impressive as the setting, offering a wide variety of Japanese dishes that are both authentic and beautifully presented. Highlights for me were the sashimi salad—so fresh and full of flavor—and the octopus, which was perfectly prepared, soft, and absolutely delicious. Every plate feels carefully crafted, balancing flavors and textures in a way that makes the experience unforgettable.
Next time, I will definitely try their crafted cocktails, which looked amazing and perfectly complement the overall lounge experience.

Wow! After an impressive grand opening , I was curious to go back. Sabrina Souchet is the sweetest and coolest bartender. She made a refreshing matcha cocktail and halibut dishes for my friend and I. So yummy. Shoutout to this beautiful new restaurant’s staff! Rebecca, Alex and Younis were all sweet and attentive. We even got to shake hangs with Robert managing the floor. This is a new hot spot for cocktails and Japanese food 🙂

I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Thank you!
