Mirch Masala is an authentic North Indian restaurant located in the heart of the old town of Lucerne. For years, we have been serving delicious and traditional North Indian cuisine. If you want to experience the flavors of India, we invite you to visit our restaurant. We offer a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options, chicken curries, biryanis, lamb curries, Indian grills, and much more. During lunchtime, we have a fantastic buffet offer. For only 17 CHF, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet with a wide selection of dishes. In the evening, we offer an à la carte system where you can choose your preferred dishes. Best Indian food I ate in Switzerland. This place deserves full marks in my books. We went twice to have dinner while in Luzern! Staff and the owner himself are super friendly. I specially recall an incident when few tourists came in 5 min after the closing time and the owner was very kind enough to accommodate them. His gesture made a very unique impression and when I asked, he said- no one should be denied a service/ food at my doorstep! I also want to add that if you are vegeterian, make sure to order -Daal Makhani and Methi Malai Matar- both dishes were mind blowing!

We visited this Indian restaurant tucked in the streets of Locerne old town, and while we were really hungry and looking forward to a good desi meal the experience was just okay.
We ordered butter chicken, chicken karahi, and dal makhani. The butter chicken was fine,not amazing, but decent. However, the chicken karahi was disappointing,it was boneless and tasted almost the same as the butter chicken, lacking the distinct flavor we expected. The dal makhani was unfortunately not to our liking at all. The biggest issue was the heat inside the restaurant. It was really uncomfortable. There were ceiling fans, but when I asked the waiter to turn one on, he did but didn’t turn the fan towards us,it was blowing air outside instead of inside. It made it really hard to enjoy the food. We would definitely recommend installing more fans or proper air conditioning,especially during summer.
The place has potential, but the overall experience wasn’t great. We ate only because we were hungry, not because the food or atmosphere made us want to stay longer. Hoping they make some improvements, because the location is charming.

The food was absolutely brilliant. Make sure you visit at lunchtime to discover the great „All you can eat“ Buffet. They have several vegetarian options too. The Naan bread was so fluffy, warm and very tasty! I can recommend this restaurant to everyone – we will be back soon! 🙂

Amazing tasting food at a very effective price. The staff is very welcoming and the food comes out quick even when the restaurant is full. Food is fresh and served piping hot making for a great experience. There is an extensive menu selection and the prices are reasonable for the area.
