As an Italian from New York who grew up with her grandmothers home made cooking… this place is the closest I’m ever going to get to that again. Miramare was first recommended to me when a friends foreign exchange student from Italy told us we need to go, it was the closest thing to home she had here in the states. We chose to attend for our anniversary and will never regret it, their summer menu was divine, the constantly changing menu to incorporate the freshest in season ingredients is a protocol every restaurant should live by. We cannot wait for our next “excuse” to attend. It was a unrushed experience. The staff accounts for every persons meal taking an extended period of time and they never make you feel like your presence is unwelcome. Speaking of the staff, there was an abundance of them for such a small space, it make all of our anticipated and actual needs feel taken care of instantly. This is a gem and we highly recommend to anybody looking for an authentic artistic and overall great night out. Do not go if you’re in a rush, the chef is clear about that!

I needed to bring a dessert to an Italian-themed birthday dinner. I called Miramare Italiano and was immediately put through to Chef Luca. He immediately agreed to prepare the dessert, and patiently talked through the options with me. Pickup was easy, and the front-of-the-house staff was very helpful and gave me a beautiful cake box to borrow and take with me. Best of all the cake was beautiful and unbelievably delicious! Everyone raved about it and I really scored on bringing it!! All in all, a great experience!

So this is going to be picky, started off with the bruschetta and the flavor was phenomenal especially for this time of year with no really good tomatoes. My personal opinion is I would have added a tiny bit of finishing salt. The meal came with a salad and I thought I ordered a garden but ended up with a bowl of romaine hearts, three croutons some parm and a light Cesar dressing with a lemon wedge. I love lemon so really appreciate the wedge touch but left most of that in the bowl. For entree I had nonas chicken parmesan, the cutlet was spot on and the red sauce was delicious. Spaghetti was very nice( I don’t like al dente) and it was not. Creamy pasta paired excellent with the red sauce again. However one more time I was wanting some finishing salt just a touch. Chocolate cheese cake had orange liquor in it not my wife’s thing. I felt pricing was reasonable and portion size was fine. I would go back no doubt and really enjoyed my meal. Food and service was incredible! Particularly our waitress Maria. She was thoughtful and provided us with anything we asked for and was incredibly kind. Chicken piccata was the best I’ve ever had. Thank y’all for making my wife’s birthday special!

Located in a beautiful marketplace, this restaurant looked very promising, but the quality of the food didn’t live up to our expectations. There were four people in my group and we also know another group of four people that were there the same night and we all had issues with our food. Coincidence? Maybe a bad night in the kitchen? We didn’t know, but we do know that we will not be rushing back anytime soon. My chichen was very tough and chewy, as well as the other person’s chicken dinner at my table. I was told that the shrimp were gritty. And the lobster ravioli was very bland. While the friends we knew at another table told us about their dislike of the food, I don’t know exactly what they had. Everyone has a bad day, so you might want to give them a try. But based on my experience, don’t expect anything fantastic.

We bought 3 desserts for a birthday as carry out. My husband stood there, ignored for 15 minutes waiting for the order that was phoned in. They had the audacity to charge $48.00 for 1 pc of cheesecake (from Publix freezer section) 1 crème brûlée (frozen) and 1 slice of lemon cake. (The lemon cake may or may not have been store bought, it was just OK. Ridiculous!! Stop over charging for sub par food. These 3 tiny pastries were not worth a penny over $24.00 for all 3.

The food was amazing! The chef was able to accommodate my husband’s request to make his meal spicy and it didn’t lose any flavor! Sarah was a delight as a waitress- personable, kind, and knowledgeable. Her recommendation to try the agrodolce appetizer was phenomenal!! Both owners were hands on and we could see their passion to provide not just a great meal, but a fantastic experience! This was by far the best night out that we have had since moving to South Carolina. I’d give 100 stars if possible! This is the best restaurant in Beaufort county!!

We are from out of state but I will recommend this amazing restaurant to everyone I know. Our server Jake was a five star employee. I would recommend a raise. Very knowledgeable and very welcoming and attentive to multiple tables. Our food was amazing, drinks were delicious. Warm and very welcoming atmosphere. Worth every penny! Recommend the SHAKERTINIS! If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would! The ambiance, impeccable service, and scrumptious food made this dining experience the highlight of our vacation. Our waiter, Jay, was an absolute ray of sunshine and truly gave first class service that is so hard to find in this post-pandemic era. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals – lasagna, chicken piccata, mare e monti, and bolognese. We can’t wait to return here on our next vacation to Fripp Island. It was so worth the drive and the little town of Habersham is adorable – like a mini Charleston! Thanks again and a big thanks to Jay for being so amazing.
