We were VERY impressed with every aspect of our experience. They kept some of the original charm such as the beautiful brick wall. They play modern Christian music which was a tad louder than expected considering the atmosphere. I imagine if the restaurant was full of people everyone would be talking loud to talk over it but it was very enjoyable today. Definetly a 5 out 5! We will be back and highly recommend this local gem.

My husband and I have been eating here since it opened several years ago and before tonight we have always had an enjoyable experience. Everything started out great, we were sat and got our drinks and even our appetizer pretty quickly but after we ordered our entrees is when it went downhill. To start, our son’s chicken fingers came out quickly which is great but after cutting into them we saw that they were raw on the inside. We told our server, Maddie, and she was very apologetic and returned them to the kitchen so that we could have them remade. My husband and I proceeded to wait 40 minutes for our food to come out. We never received the salad or bread that is supposed to come with our meal, our server told us that it was supposed to be coming from the kitchen but they were backed up. My husband asked to speak to a manger (something we have honestly never done in the many times we have eaten together over the last 10 years) and while waiting on the manager our food finally arrived. Neither one of our steaks were cooked correctly and we still hadn’t received our salad, bread, or our son’s chicken fingers that we had returned about 25 minutes prior to this. When the manager, Alex, came to the table and we explained our issues. Afterwards Alex said that he would comp everything but our entrees and give us a free dessert (to be honest we weren’t looking to have anything comped, we were just wanting to bring these issues to his attention), but at that point we had been there long enough that our toddler was hungry and tired and we honestly just wanted to leave so I asked him to just take the chicken fingers off the bill as we never received the remake and to bring us to go boxes and the check. Alex did say before he left the table that instead of the free dessert he would ensure that everything else was comped except for our entrees and then stated that he would give us 50% off of my entree. Once I received the check and looked it over, he had “comped” our 2 sodas and took 5$ off my $27 entree which is definitely not “50%”. Again this is not about getting anything for free but it is not good business to tell a costumer that you are going to do one and then do something completely different. As someone in a “management” position, you should absolutely know that blatantly lying to your costumers is not a good way to conduct business and reflects poorly on the entire business. I would like to end this on a positive note, our server Maddie was not at fault for our poor experience. She was kind, attentive, and truly apologized so many times despite none it being in her control. She was a wonderful server!

My mom read an article in Southern Living featuring this restaurant as the best in Alabama — or some similar lofty accolade. We were pleased to find it was in easy driving distance for us, and so off we went to give it a go.

Located in the small downtown of Oneonta, we didn’t have trouble finding nearby street parking during lunch time. Although the entrance and exterior is low-key, the interior is spacious, airy, and just classy enough for a restaurant that walks a nice line between a finer dining experience and an accessible but high-quality lunch spot. Large ceiling, exposed brick, etc. It wasn’t super crowded but they were doing a solid business for a midweek lunch.

Our waitress was spectacular. She was an older Latina woman with a moderately thick Spanish accent; I’m not sure if she gave us her name. She walked my dad to the restroom when we first arrived, patiently answered questions (both menu and non-menu related…my endlessly curious dad can and will chat up anybody!!), and provided great recommendations. She brought us to-go drinks and boxes without asking (though we definitely needed them!). She was just so perfectly attentive, warm, and gracious. HUGE kudos!

Their menu consists of pasta dishes and upscale American and Italian classics like filet mignon and chicken Parmesan. They also have a few more lunch-y items like a steak sandwich. Entrees come with bread and salad for the table.

There are jars of delicious, buttery, smooth and herbaceous olive oil waiting on each table to go with the bread. It was perfect with the warm rolls that were brought out to our table. We couldn’t stop eating it. The shared salad was large and loaded with fresh vegetables and other goodies, including banana peppers, olives, tomatoes, and red onions. The house dressing was lightly acidic and enjoyable.

We got a plate of fried ravioli to share to start. It was delicious! The cheese was SO gooey and there was no shortage of it inside the crispy, salty, breaded ravioli. The dipping sauce wasn’t overly sweet and complemented it perfectly.

For entrees, my dad ordered a blackened chicken salad, my mom got fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and vegetables (I know she kept mushrooms and peppers but asked for no broccoli), and I got crispy chicken Parmesan. They will grill the chicken if you prefer. This came with my choice of three pasta sauces: tomato basil, Alfredo, or creamy tomato basil, which is half and half tomato basil/alfredo. At the encouraging of our waitress, I went with the creamy tomato basil.

Everything was absolutely delicious. My dad’s salad was probably the weak link though was still quite tasty — serves him right for getting a salad at an Italian restaurant. ;). It was huge and the chicken was cooked very well, not at all dry. Mom absolutely loved hers and was very impressed at how beautifully and subtly all the different flavors played together. The creamy tomato basil sauce on my pasta was absolutely fantastic and a great recommendation. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly. My chicken Parmesan was maybe the *tiniest* bit overcooked (edges were a little chewy), but the inner pieces were succulent and the breading and melted cheese on top was delightful. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. It was truly a delightful dining experience.

This would be a great road trip for special occasions like an anniversary or even just for a fun way to treat yourself. Please give them a try if you’re anywhere nearby. I hope to return in the future despite the distance.

This has got to be one of the BEST places I have visited. When you enter, the atmosphere is very friendly, clean and elegant. The staff is amazing!! We were immediately seated and greeted by the most attentive waitress. We were treated like family.
First. The Fried ravioli was a good twist compared to the cheese sticks.
Chicken wings was next. The sauce on these wings were fantastic. A Perfect combination of sweet and spice.
Fettuccine chicken alfredo, this was my dish and it was very creamy and delectable. The spaghetti is what my guest had and the review was that of “tasty”. Not your typical sauce. Finally, a mouthwatering, juicy and yummy cheeseburger. (With fries)
A flavorful salad with the homemade dressing could be addictive. Served with the right amount of bread and olive oil. Last but not least, Banana nut bread. topped with Ice cream and drizzled with caramel was a flavorful desert.

Wait was about an hour, but it was Valentines Day, so that’s understandable. Wanted to try the BBQ Salmon, but the menu for the day was somewhat abbreviated. Went with the Land and Sea, 2 thumbs up. Also had fried mushrooms for an appetizer, coffee, and tiramisu for dessert. I regret nothing and will definitely go back. Our waiter (Dom) was great and added to the whole experience being A+.

Had the BBQ Salmon. It was a unique dish served hot and fresh. Never had sautéed strawberries on top of fish, but the flavor combination worked for me! Restaurant was clean, service friendly. Prices more than fair. Had several specials of the day and plenty enough servers to keep up with the tables. Enjoyed my visit.

Food and staff are wonderful. We had the fried mushrooms, tortellini, lasagna, ahi, blackened tilapia & shrimp–all hits. Family-owned, always welcoming!

Our server was okay. He came to the table while my husband & I were discussing business & rambled on about getting accused of following some woman to the bathroom. It really caught us off guard & it was odd & inappropriate. The restaurant itself is clean. Love the ceiling & set up. The food was okay. I ordered a salad & I was expecting romaine with spinach & kale, but it was iceberg lettuce. I was quite disappointed,as the manager of Truist Bank recommended the restaurant & stated it was good food. My husband ordered shrimp fettuccine but didn’t get shrimp. He received chicken. We weren’t impressed with the food, so we got to go boxes & left.
The prices are decent. It’s not expensive. The mozzarella sticks were $8 or 12 dollars. My salad was $12 I believe. The atmosphere was good. I admired the interior. Everything else could use some work. Oh,and they really need to go to house ranch dressing. The ranch I received in plastic containers was thick & and tasted like the value brand at Walmart. The sweet tea wasn’t really sweet. There’s plenty of room for improvement! They are trying to be a fancy restaurant with subpar service & food. Also, there was the owners or one of the workers young daughter about 8 or so at the bar behind me kicking the wall to the bar from the barstool. No one stopped to tell her to stop. It was another reason we left. We just wanted a good lunch in peace. No drama. We were quite deceived.
The atmosphere in silence( if it had been) is the only reason for 3 stars.

Nice little place. Service was fantastic!!! Interior design has a great appeal. The pasta we had was pretty standard. It was good and I have no complaints on flavors or portions, but it didn’t set itself apart from other dishes at similar eateries. I would eat here again if I’m in the area.

The one and only complaint that I have against the restaurant is the climate controls. It was uncomfortably warm in the dining area it felt like the ambient temp was somewhere around 78 degrees in there.

My husband and I cannot stop raving about the lovely dinner we had at Mio Sogno, a gem in the heart of Oneonta. It was one of the most delicious, pleasant restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time.

We waited maybe 15 minutes on a Friday night for a table, just the right amount of time to walk and browse the cute shops and see the mural walls.

The food was amazing (piping hot, perfectly seasoned, homemade-tasting Italian food). We even got dessert (which we never do):
banana bread pudding!

Our server was helpful, polite and attentive without being attention-seeking, and there wasn’t any music playing, so we could actually hear ourselves talking. When they brought the check, we were shocked by how affordable the meal was. A five-star experience, from start to finish. We’re definitely going back!
