I pitches their bread which was to me like manapua, bao, and a dinner roll. They have a bento section, and you can order Japanese type spaghetti am choose between 6 different noodle Style. Tagatelle pairs well with a Bolognese because the noodles hug onto the sauce. Probably the most AFFORDABLE Authentic Italian Pasta shop on Oahu especially in downtown Honolulu. Next time I come I’ll order 2 orders of pasta or a Pasta and a bento.
We even tried some bread, pastries, and a blueberry pie, all were extremely good.
I love this place, it’s casual, but the food is just so much better than a lot of other places. I got the Bolognese Eggplant, sooooo good and the pasta was perfect al dente.
I can’t wait to try some more of their dishes! It’s hard to decide which restaurant here to go to.
Unfortunately, the pasta dish was not up to my expectations. The toppings, including two dollops of pesto, were placed haphazardly on top of the noodles and failed to incorporate evenly, resulting in clumped noodles at the bottom of the bowl. The chicken was boiled and added to the dish as an additional clump, further detracting from the overall appearance and taste of the dish.
However, the bright spot of my visit was the bakery located on the other end of the restaurant. The fresh baked pastries and cakes were a treat and a highlight of my dining experience. I was pleased to find that the bakery offered an assortment of delectable treats to choose from, making it a saving grace in an otherwise disappointing meal.
In conclusion, while my experience at Mio Pastalogy was not entirely positive, I will not visiting again anytime for their pasta, but may be for bakery.
The employee that helped us was aloof and uninterested. Then our food was just edible.
Flavor was off, pasta seemed stale. My wife and I didn’t finish our meals. Maybe an off night but not a great experience.
Love the Japanese/Italian pasta. Bakery and dessert items are japanese indluenced as well. Focaccia was super soft and delicious.
