I had been waiting to try Mint Mark for quite some time and had not gotten around to it , until Early in January after the holiday season decided to make a reservation and try them out .

First and foremost: reservations are highly recommended as they seem to book up very quickly especially over the weekends . Parking was very easy and straightforward inside an enclosed garage which was perfect for winter .

We arrived few minutes earlier and our table was not yet ready so we wondered into the adjacent specialty store and browsed the numerous products and vast array of unique alcohol selection for sale . Cool store.

When we were called for our table our server greeted us and explained the concept of the restaurant. Small plates that come out as the food is prepared . Awesome ! Love the sharing small plate concept when eating out as it allows me to try multiple flavors .

She was extra kind to personally annotate and mark up the menu for us indicating what items were gluten free and what could be modified and what were cross . Greatly appreciated this as it added ease for ordering . Thank you !

And so it began! Cocktails are great . From classics to specialties . We ordered seven different small plates to share and each was delicious in its own way .

Fig & olive spread sets the right tone. Spread on warm toasted bread (not gf) was great. Preserved beets with crème fresh are extra special with a nice pickled aftertaste: what a winner. Cauliflower came recommended from our server and it was excellent. A little salty , semi sweet raisins and crispy cheese . All flavors on the table so far balance and compliment each other well.

Potato sausage Bavarian style with braised red cabbage was a hit. Not on the menu but made for gf was a risotto with sausage . So decadent rich and flavor it could possibly be a staple on this menu . Creamy and warm on a cold night. Finally the steak and frites are a perfectly prepared with an aioli and sauce that brings all flavors together.

More cocktails and all the food on the table makes sense. A delicious dinner with so may flavor profiles . Finally for desert we tried the crème brûlée with a different style burnt sugar on the top . Crème was good but the topping for me was not my favorite .

A great memorable meal and will definitely be back . Many thanks to the staff who added to the experience.

What is there to not love about this place? From the onion dip to the biscuit to the skillet cookie, pretty much everything we had here was well executed and delicious. I would have easily eaten about a dozen of the deviled eggs and about a pound of the carrots as those two were probably my favorites, granted it’s always hard to compete with a skillet cookie. The drinks were also well made and the overall style/space of the place was very bright and comforting. Great for a date night or a group of friends.

We had an early reservation for a group of 4 and were seated right away. Our waitress was so friendly and took her time to explain the menu to us. The restaurants atmosphere was different than any other place I’ve been to and reminded me of a place you’d eat at in Miami. Our group loved the shareable style dishes and each were brought out one by one. Not only was the presentation perfect, each dish was hand crafted with its own unique flavor. This was probably one of my favorite restaurants I’ve been to in a long time

Signature drink is amazing! Atmosphere is great! Kitchen looks very clean! Bar looks very well organized! One of my favorite place to go have some drinks! However, the food really isn’t that tasty. The presentation is great.

They have a great bar area and craft drinks. It looks like they make all their own mixers for drinks. Service was great. I am personally not a fan of the look and feel of the restaurant. It does seem a bit loud with the open kitchen and ceilings.

Very busy venue with regulars. Might have to wait for table.

Bar service was quick. Easier for friend and I to order drinks and apps.

Unless you’re a foodie, we found the menu to have many different/unusual types of foods. Presentation was lovely, though. Customers and staff friendly. Validated parking a bonus!

Mint Mark is hands down the best brunch in Madison, Wisconsin.

The menu doesn’t do justice to what is beautifully presented by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Mint Mark is known for their shared plates, and while I usually save sharing for dinner, trust me—a shared breakfast here is what it’s all about. You get to experience so many flavorful, fun dishes all at once. It feels like Christmas on a table.

Parnassus was our server, and she greeted us with a vibrant smile that instantly set the tone for a fun and exciting brunch. She walked us through each dish in detail, making the experience feel special and thoughtful. Our drinks were always full, and she checked in frequently to make sure everything was perfect.

If you’re dining at Mint Mark, be sure to ask for Parnassus. She’ll be heading to NYC in Spring 2026 to chase her Broadway dreams—send her all the good vibes and wish her the best of luck.

Thank you to the incredible chefs, bartenders, Parnassus, and the entire Mint Mark team for making our brunch so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

I had an amazing first-time experience at Mint Mark! The food, ambiance, and overall vibe were all fantastic. Our waitress, Parnassus, was incredibly kind and delightful — truly one of the highlights of the night.

We didn’t care for one of the pasta dishes we ordered, and when we mentioned it to her, she was super accommodating and helped us order something else without any stress. The way she handled it was calm, cool, and professional — exactly how great service should be. It was refreshing and made the whole experience even better.

Highly recommend this place — I’ll definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my experience at Mint Mark. The biscuit was amazing — fluffy and full of flavor. I also loved the beet dish and the carrot plate — both were beautifully prepared and delicious. The fish was good but had a bit too much sauce for my taste. The meat dish was solid, though the fries that came with it were unsalted, which made them a little bland.

The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Our server was kind and attentive, though we weren’t offered a dessert menu — not sure if they don’t have one or just forgot to mention it.

Overall, I’d definitely come back. They do a lot of things very well — just a few small things to improve.

Came here right at 5 to beat the heat and a few small plates. The housemade chips with a smoky onion dip were beyond. I love beets and the earthiness of the beets w the freshness of the crème fraiche was perfect. Pierogy was unique and satisfying. Love that they have a mortadella pizza too. Excellent service!
