When I searched for boba tea in the Kent Ohio area Incame across some competitors for my Boba Dollars. Ming’s diverse menu and the fact that they serve ball waffles hooked me. The atmosphere qas cool. The walls are covered with handwritten post-it notes and a “wish wall,” which gives the shop a creative college-town vibe. It feels fun and full of good energy.
I ordered a Peach Boba with blueberry popping balls and enjoyed it while working on my laptop. Before leaving, I grabbed a couple drinks to go: a Pineapple-Mango-Orange with blueberry popping balls and a Honeydew Milk Tea for a friend. All of them were delicious.
The staff was friendly. A huge menu means I am looking forward to coming back and trying something new. Ming’s worth the stop.

This was my first time visiting Ming’s. The employee working the register was super friendly and helped me with my order. I ended up with the black sugar & creme brulee milk tea with tapioca pearls. It was delicious and a great price for the size!

This is the cutest Bubble Tea place! I had a seasonal pumpkin bubble tea and it was delicious! I’m not overly familiar with all the ins and outs of bubble tea, but the girl taking my order was great at explaining everything and offering suggestions.

I’ve stopped at Ming’s a few times, and I think it’s a nice little shop. Lots of good options and they switch out specials frequently, which is nice. Staff is also usually pretty nice and friendly.
One note is that their payment reader has trouble with certain cards, which can be annoying. They used to show you the screen so you could know when to tap your card and then you could type in your tip if you wanted to give one, but they haven’t been able to do that the last few times I’ve been in. So transactions take a few tries which is annoying. I also like to tip to round my amount to an even dollar amount, which I can’t do when they can’t show the screen. Hoping this gets fixed soon.

Mings is a Kent staple. You have to go once with more teas than you can imagine. They are very creative flavors and fully customizable. The inside is iconic with sticky notes all over the wall. It’s in the strip mall but don’t let that fool you. But therr is plenty of parking in front of it. There is also free board games to play. It’s a fun time for sure.

I ordered a birthday sprinkle boba tea with whipped cream and it had no sprinkle or whipped cream and was just flavored tea water. The boba at this place is mediocre at best but the atmosphere is great with friends and it’s a great location but that’s about it. You can get better tea at literally any other boba place.

Absolutely love it here, the boba is alway soft and fresh, and the flavors and teas they offer are divine. There is truly a drink for everyone here, especially with all the customization they offer!
I did take a star off as my last visit here was a bit of a bummer. The tea was of course delicious, but I made an online order for pick up, and after waiting the appointed time I went inside. The cashier seemed confused but said it wasn’t done and would be a few minutes. No problem at all! I know how busy it can get, and the person who ordered in line before me got their drink in 3-4 minutes. It however took 10+ minutes for me to finally recieve my order. A cumulative 30+ minute wait time. Again, things get busy I understand, but their was an individual with short hair making the drinks who was quite vocal in their annoyance and complaints. Stating “Who cares, cause I don’t,” It was very uncomfortable, I understand everyone complains about their job but I would hope they would at least do it in the back room.
Again, I love Mings and will keep coming! I just hope that individual has a better day.

So, my daughter is really hung up on this place and offered to take me up to Kent. Our whole family went. Not a big fan of bubble tea, I wanted something without tapioca. So I went with the tea with chocolate and milk. Which basically was chocolate milk tea with ice chips. It was good. If you go in, the walls are full of sticky notes. I kid you not! But it is a novelty place especially if you like bubble tea. So, okay, not my favorite place but it needs to be tried once.

Honestly a great place to stop by on a hot day or two hour break between classes on KSU. Friendly and engaging staff, and surprisingly, the bubble tea was only $4.75 I believe which is actually cost less than other areas. It’s also located within the same plaza as Acme, a laundromat and Einstein’s Attic, so you can definitely make a pit stop for nice ice bubble tea. Also, forgot to mention you can request less or no tapioca. All in all, I recommend to anyone passing by this plaza.
