The company I work with has our holiday party here every year, but when a few of us decided to have a birthday party here, the bald bartender really had it out for us. We were friendly and tipped well, but he went out of his way to prevent us from giving our friend food while he drank. When we first arrived, we asked for fries, but was told the kitchen was closed and that was it. I’m the designated driver, and as the hours ticked on, the birthday boy was getting pretty wasted – and they weren’t allowing us to order drinks for other people, so they were over serving him directly and on an empty stomach. I ordered a single pizza for delivery, so he could eat something, but realized I should have asked the bartender first. So when the pizza arrived, I walked it over to the staff, apologized for not asking, and offered them first pickings of the pie, explaining that i really just needed to get something in my friend’s stomach. The bartender actually started cursing at me, said he would have allowed it if I’d asked first, and told me I had to set it by the front door and that nobody could eat it. So we decided to eat it outside in the snow, but the bartender wouldn’t let our friend join us outside until he paid for all our stuff – for no reason other than to be cruel. I couldn’t find a worse experience if I tried. I’m 100% positive this establishment broke the law, because food nust be available anywhere alcohol is sold (even a liquor store).

Went to a birthday party with friends at Mingles and watched the bartender shout and cuss at my super nice supervisor when she tried to feed us because their kitchen was closed and we were gettin hammered. Some of us had to drive. She was the DD and is the nicest lady she even offered the pizza to all their workers first, but they cussed her out and said none of us could eat it because we didn’t ask first. Not because of a policy for outside food but because they wanted to punish us and they admitted it. We had to stand out in a snowstorm to eat just to get something in our stomachs. We were all having a great time until then. The bartender was a bald jerk cussin at her while she said sorry over and over. Then she snapped and told him off, and we all decided to just go to Johns Alley instead. I’d never been to Mingles before, so I probably won’t ever come back. Johns Alley let us bring the pizza in and we all played guessing games for free drinks. Pick your vibe I guess.

I’ve tried to give the place a shot. It’s not a bad dive bar. But the bathrooms are always gross. They look like they haven’t been cleaned in 6+ months. It just makes me wonder how clean everything else is. Otherwise, the service is good.

My first bartender was very nice and polite, then we got a young lady for table service… She was great… She left is with another gal server at the completion of her shift and she was equally pleasant and great server….
Men’s bathroom needed some attention but the wait staff was fantastic

Great nightly drink specials and divey atmosphere. Solid food, and breakfast until noon on weekends, which we were too late to try. Did get a peek of the menu though! Our bartender/server Katie was friendly and attentive and good at her job.
I absolutely LOVE French dips, and this one was a solid 7.5/10. It comes with straight horseradish on the side, which is much harder to spread than creamy or sauced horseradish. However, the bread is good, meat is nicely cooked, and au jus is flavorful. (I put horseradish in the au jus and that was great!)

They forced us to drink on an empty stomach and screamed/cursed at my super apologetic wife when she ordered a single pizza for a birthday party where people were drinking heavily. Pretty sure that’s illegal.

Stopped in for some food while working in town. I had a the chicken bacon ranch wrap. It was amazing. This wrap was big enough to share. Plenty of meat in it, plus a nice helping of fried on the side. The criss cut fries were well seasoned and crispy. I definitely recommend grabbing a bite here if you’re in town. Gonnancheck out more food items next time I’m here.

Depending on the crowd you’re looking for, either go early or late. Fun place for pool and watching the game. I miss the $.75 wings on Wednesday. They absolutely love playing Free Bird

Nice place, and thankfully devoid of the Moscow hipster element. Delicious bar food, and friendly service. Yes, it’s a pool hall mostly, but there is a good sit-down area for dining, and man do they pour a stiff drink–which of course was my pre-meal appetizer… 😉
