It was a great restaurant.
We were a bit worried about the reviews,
but I think this place was actually really good.
First, the prices on the menu include VAT,
so there were no extra charges.

Honestly, Seafood spaghetti was a bit expensive.
But there were tons of seafood, so i was satisfied.
And ordered smallest pizza, but it was big as i expected, it was 16 dollars.

So this place is good spaghetti and pizza shop.

Huge disappointment! Horrible salad, horrible pizza and horrible pasta!
The garden salad says it has fresh fruits from each day from the market ( got pineapple from a can)
Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here!

We had a delicious meal at Giuseppe’s. Fast and friendly service. Good pizzas – the personal size was very generous. And a huge salad. Would have had dessert, but no room! We would definitely go back.

From the other reviews, we had low expectations of this meal, but Giuseppe‘s exceeded all of them. The restaurant’s old school Italian feel is refreshing after all the cevicherias in Galápagos, but they still use fresh fish. We got two shrimp dishes and the staff were incredibly accommodating to our dietary restrictions. They custom made a sauce for my rigatoni. In addition, my boyfriend mentioned he loved the house wine and they gave him a complimentary glass filled to the brim with it. Highly recommend!!

The food is OK. None of the dishes we had were bad, the tomato sauce on the gnocchi was OK, the eggplant was OK. The bruscetta was not OK, stiff bread with few tomatoes. The shrimp pasta was OK. There was no one in the restaurant when we ate there, the food still took a bit. There are loads of places you can try in San Cristóbal.

Waste of time. First didn’t have the dish I ordered so I reordered after 10 minutes. The chicken sandwich w/ pasta sauce was cold when it came out. They threw it in the oven to reheat but by then the breaded chicken was soggy and the sauce was only so hot. I would expect more given the price. Spent an hour here for only a beer that only came 20 min after I ordered (and reminded them I don’t have a drink).

We try to make everyone feel at home but sometimes our Waitres lack of English causes problems. When you use credit cards at Giuseppe’s the Government of Ecuador charges taxes on top of the price that’s why we recommend our guests to pay in cash so that they won’t be charge the extra cash. We are a family owned restaurant that will try to satisfy all your needs and we apologize to our guests for any inconvenience. We are always are great full for your visit. Please try our new menu which will be in place before September. Thank you all !

Good food, atrocious service.
Be ready to wait nearly two hours. Double-check your order because the staff clearly won’t. Our waitress managed to enter 1 of 6 meals, then dodged us completely—no apology, no eye contact, nothing. We waited another hour for the other 5 meals with zero accountability. Dread to think what this place is like in high season.

Best food in San Cristobal

The food felt like a taste of comfort in a place far from home, as I have an Italian mother who is an excellent cook. It was certainly the best Italian food in San Cristobal and possibly the best food altogether. We liked it so much; we ate there three times during our week’s stay. On the first night, the owner came out to greet us and personally took our order. We learned he was originally from the Bronx NY and you could tell he knew good Italian food.

One time we shared a personal sized Giuseppe’s Deluxe pizza and a caprese salad. The pizza was very tasty with lots of meat toppings and a thin, crispy crust. The caprese salad with fried zucchini was well presented and very tasty. It was prepared as if it was on a skewer with alternating tomato, raw zucchini, fried zucchini, and a firm mozzarella topped with pesto sauce and marinated red onion slices. The Chicken Frances with pasta in tomato vodka sauce was very good. The red sangria pitcher was a nice drink to go along with the dinner.

The chef owner is originally from New York and speaks fluent English. Good NY style pizza. Personal pizza can be more for a single person.

The Galapagos Fruit cocktail was very good too.
