Alice and Bubba have been in this business for over 40 years! The best authentic Chinese food as always fresh, flavorful and delicious! We have been their patrons for 40 years!

Two strikes and they’re out – overcooked my food badly twice! Heard great things on my quest to try every Chinese place in town, and the first time they outright burned my food. Hearing such great reviews I thought it must be a fluke, but I came back and my food was yet again way over cooked. Last time I couldn’t eat all of it due to the burning, this time it was legitimately hard to chew the General Tso’s it was so well done. Potentially due to poor quality chicken with a ton of breading… I like that they use a good bit of pepper, but two strikes is all they’ll get from me for $15 for chef Specialty plates. I thought the fried rice was somewhat bland too. Maybe I’m the unlucky one, but they’re 0/2 with me.

The best Chinese food in Tallahassee! The interiors are not fancy but the food is delicious and simple. It has been our staple to go Chinese restaurant for a few years. Our family favorites include the Hunan Chicken and Pepper Steak.

A spicy stew! A spicy stew! Delicious Szechuan bean curd! A spicy stew!!! Ming Tree is one of the few places in Tallahassee where you can get authentic delicious Chinese cuisine. If you like that deep fried general tso’s garbage, go elsewhere.
I like to try a new dish every time I go. Although, the Kung Pao shrimp might have captured my heart for a little while. And szechuan fish is a go to also.
All the dishes I’ve had from this restaurant are spiced to perfection & layered with flavor. The customer service is also very authentic. Lol. IYKYK.

We ate here about 5 years and were disappointed. Decided to give them another chance. Has not improved. Chicken with broccoli had almost no flavor. Beef with vegetables was also pretty bland. Dining room is closed. Will not be reordering.

Minus one star for bugs in our water. Minus another star for no dumplings on the menu (even though there is a category called “dim sum”). The Ming Tree has a long history in Tallahassee in various locations and this location carries on the name. Bring your own beer or wine. This is a low-key restaurant in a tucked away strip mall. The food is very flavorful and the service is efficient. Take out is available, as is table service.

As a first time customer, I am severely disappointed with Ming Tree. The chicken and broccoli came in a water sauce and the chicken was undercooked, since I am pregnant, I could not enjoy the semi-cooked chicken dish and I am glad I checked before eating. The fried rice was dry and bland. The egg roll was the best part of the meal. Portion sizes are standard too. I would normally give a restaurant a second chance but the uncooked chicken coupled with the unpleasant waitress over the phone, I will probably stick with Emerald Garden.

Ming tree is the best Chinese food in town. Love their family style portions and they are always so kind. The thing I love most of all of that they take time off during Thanksgiving and Christmas and close for a nice long break to get quality time with their family. Love you all!

Some of the best & largest (nearly a half gallon) servings of chicken noodle soup in Tally! Wish they offered nutritional breakdown.
