This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants but it seems each time I go, as of recent, the quality continues to go down.
My go to is egg drop soup and kung pao chicken.
Today’s order was not good. Egg drop was super watered down. And my king pao chicken was mostly carrots and celery, which the picture online shows just chicken, peanuts and water chestnuts, which is the way I wanted it.
And to top it off the sauce was soooo oily.
Sadly disappointed

Good prices for lunch but food had no flavor. The Spring roll was so greasy, my fingers were glistening when I touched it to pick it up. I ordered Szechuan chick, I saw red flakes but no heat whatsoever. Confusing.

I just wanted to share my experience today. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and we love it. However, we have been dealing with a waitress that is really ruining our experience the last 3 to 4 occasions that we have had her serve us. When she is there, it is absolutely dreadful. On one occasion, I could not understand what she was asking me and she got really short and gave me many dirty Looks. I understand that she was frustrated, but she is never kind or polite to us. Today we came in and noticed that she was the only server for lunch and once again nothing but dirty looks. Just terrible service. We Are a family of six and we ordered five dishes One of them was sweet-and-sour chicken. This is our first time ordering sweet-and-sour chicken and when I received it I asked her to confirm if this was the dinner portion. I asked because before we ordered, we requested all dinner sized entrées. She confirmed that what we received was the dinner And I told her thank you and that it was fine. She proceeded to walk behind me and say something in Chinese directly behind my back in a mean and offensive way. This kind of behavior is not OK. I am of Asian descent myself, and I like to think that I am very patient with my people and very Understanding when I am being served by them.I may not have understood what she said, but her mannerism spoke loud enough to say that she was upset with The question. This restaurant has been our favorite restaurant for a very long time and we would like to continue to come, but we have had so many issues with her.

Our family party of ten was lucky to find this restaurant was not crowded as a last minute, late afternoon choice on Valentine’s Day when our planned dinner spot fell apart! Ming Flower had a very nice variety of Asian cuisine and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices. We loved the large rotating centerpiece that allowed people to easily share appetizers and entrees. The food was excellent, the service was attentive, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant!

We had a great time here. We were celebrating a birthday. We had a nice round table for 10 people with the rotating lazy Susan in the middle so we could share food. The food was great. The weight staff was excellent. I will definitely go back next time. I am in Columbus

Moved away to Texas for 10 years, got chicken fried rice today to go for the first time since moving back – tastes as good as ever!! $8.50 for the lunch portion is a great deal!

This is THE BEST Chinese on this side of town (like if 270 was a clock and North was 12, I’d confidently say 10 to 5 probably?!), but I’m not reviewing General Tso, or Orange Chicken… my husband (Caucasian from NW Ohio) and I had our rehearsal dinner and multiple family gatherings here for over 10 years!! I bring adventurous food lovers here for a taste of some yummy food, and here’s what we usually get! I’ll list them as how they are on the online menu if anyone wants to try a few dishes…
– mustard greens soup
– watercress soup
– duck meat with bean sprouts
– beef hou fun no sauce
– Peking ribs
– stir fry lot root w.fresh veg (this is slices of crunchy lotus roots and yummy)
– baby clam with black bean sauce
– walnut shrimp
– fu yu tom sum chai (water spinach with spicy bean curd sauce)
– sautéed snow pea tips
– spicy crispy calamari or chicken wings
Special orders we get sometimes:
– ginger scallion lobster: we buy and bring fresh lobster
– Hong Kong style fried chicken: this takes early ordering of at least a day or two ahead. It’s worth it… crispy chicken skin and juicy/tender meat
– fried flounder and veggies

The good and the service was very good. It was my first time there. The protein portions were large with a tiny bowl of rice. You will run out of rice and have plenty of meat left. But all on all it was great.

I was supposed to get a lunch portion of pork fried rice, a dinner general tso and an extra fried rice.I got charged for that$29! I got a little things of general tso and I mean little! Steamed rice and pork fried rice in a little box and my lunch portion of pork fried rice was in some little plastic things. Not one thing right. The chicken want even cuttable with a very sharp knife and you couldn’t bite they it. It was horrible. This is the second time they have messed up my meals. I’m never ever returning. Don’t go here!

I’ve always heard good things about Ming Flower but never tried it. Don’t be fooled by the “strip mall” exterior because it’s actually really nice inside. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent with quite an extensive menu. Will definitely be back again.
