Great atmosphere and plenty of open air seating options. The food was excellent! I had the Minero cheeseburger, which is a combination of beef and chorizo that had a lot of flavor and was delicious. We also had the fried chimichanga, shrimp tacos, and kids chicken quesadilla, all of which I’m told was tasty. Service could have been better. Younger server, who forgot to put in drink orders and then later forgot to bring a side. The manager brought that out and apologized. Server never offered refills on purchased drinks and only asked if we wanted refills on water as we paid the check. Overall, a good experience and as we are local, will likely return.

I was referred to try this place, and I’m glad I did. The tacos were really good, and the queso dip was the best I’ve had in the area. Everyone looked happy to be here. Like the outdoor patio. There was a little wait, but you can get a drink and chill out, talk, and or watch TV. Will definitely be back to try something else.

I’ve tried many of Minero’s menu items, and I have enjoyed all of them. The real stars are their chopped salad, street corn, and their fresh guacamole. The patio is spacious, the service is good, and there is ample parking. A great spot for dine-in Mexican on Johns Island (although living nearby, I also love to grab a burrito to go on a busy weeknight).

IT WAS SO GOOD. We went around 2pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. Super kind waiter, lovely vibes, great drinks, and flavorful food. We ordered the trio sampler and the salsa taster. My fave was the queso and and the cilantro green salsa. Note that the salsa is not free, which is super annoying when Mexican restaurants charge for their salsa (since when?!) but food was delicious enough that I’d go back without complaint. Pictured is the enchiladas made with homemade cord tortillas, which made my gluten free heart happy!

Update 4/23- So. crazy. Good. Had the ceviche and it was amazing. Couldn’t get away from the burrito bowl so had it again and it may have been better than my first. I couldnt stop eating it! The flavors they have put together here are just amazing!

This place is Buzzing with excellence. Over the top of palm tree excellence.

Listen! As a visiting Texan, I know something about Tex-Mex cuisine, and this place is delicious!! I had the shrimp tacos… they said street tacos, so got 3, but should have gotten 2 as that would have been enough! Salsa was good… mild, but really good! and guac was fresh and delicious! Ross was our waiter and was fantastic!!

The atmosphere is great and the employees are very nice and helpful. Love the outdoor seating area and the vibe inside. Everything is good except the salsa, which is disgusting and eats like spicy tomato paste—and the other dipping sauce option is a gross cilantro slurry. It’s really the worst salsa I’ve ever had, by far.

Excellent! Without a doubt the best burrito you will ever have. My girlfriend and I slept on Minero with a plethora of Mexican options in the area. Our mistake. The food was extremely fresh and the burrito was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Food is very good, service great, outside deck space is wonderful. But seasoning of some dishes too similar. Ceviche is also very good, but seasoning obscures the taste of the seafood (it’s not Peru, I know). Finally, no non-alcoholic beer. So many local restaurants don’t bother, but this is not the case elsewhere. No real business reason not to have this in stock, growing market with great labels.
