Where has this place been all my life?! Today is the first day of the rest of my life though. Amazing Italian sub. Love the nostalgic mall vibes too!!

Minelli Italian Meats and Deli is an absolute gem in the suburbs of Chicago! This spot has all the Italian goodies you could ever want, from fresh pasta and pizza slices to delicious subs made to order. I’m a big fan of their veggie sub—it’s super basic, but somehow, it’s just so delicious. And trust me, you’ve got to get their famous hot peppers; they’re an absolute must and sooo good!
They also have a great selection of freshly prepared pasta and pizza in the refrigerated section, along with a variety of fresh desserts, fresh cheese, meats and fresh bread. It’s always a treat to pick something up here.
One thing to note: it gets pretty busy during weekends and lunch hours, but it’s totally worth the wait. The staff is super friendly and nice, which just adds to the experience. Plus, there’s plenty of seating right outside the deli, making it a perfect spot to enjoy your meal.
Highly recommend stopping by Minelli Italian Meats and Deli—it hits the spot every single time!

Just found out about Minelli’s when looking for a nearby sub sandwich place. Got the Italian panini on focaccia. It was delicious and a nice portion size. I would definitely order this panini again and want to try out their cold subs in the future.

Best deli in Chicagoland! The sandwiches are amazing since they slice the meat and cheese fresh for you. My favorite is the turkey panini. They have premade Italian sauces and meals you can purchase along with fresh baked goods (Italian cookies, cakes, etc). The service is super friendly and you can tell they have a lot of regulars!

I recently visited Minelli’s and used my debit card for purchase. I informed the cashier that it was a debit and was still charged a 3.5% fee. Surcharges and convenience fees for debit cards are not permitted under card network rules and could be considered a deceptive business practice.
This experience was disappointing and misleading.

There are a couple Italian delis that are closer to me than Minelli’s. But I choose to shop at Minelli’s because their prices are often better than the other delis and their product selection and customer service and top notch.

Deliciousness is shortened to Deli here. Everything from the homemade pasta and baked dishes in the freezer, to the charcuterie selections, to the deli counter, to the hot food counter in the back is amazing, not to mention the Italian dry and canned goods, sweets, breads, to-go sandwiches and pizzas, chips, drinks and not-to-be-forgotten fresh baked cookies in display. There’re tables in the “mall” area just in front of the shop where you can eat.

The sandwiches are pretty good, The homemade cookies are delicious.
However, I don’t know what happened, but both green olive salads were loaded with salt.
Like eating salt lick. Usually not this way.
I’ll return but may skip those.

Really enjoyed the food and went back in for more. When checking out for my $18 sandwich, I gave the cashier a $20 but she said to me “I assume you don’t want your change” and did not give me my $2 back. I honestly didn’t know how to react! Next time, I would like my change please 🙂
