My husband and I stopped in for dinner and had a great experience. Food was delicious, staff were kind and friendly and the games were a blast! Hannah and Bob were kind and helpful and just generally lovely individuals. It happened to be my birthday and they made sure it was awesome. We will always come back when we visit the Michigan UP.

This Google listing needs to be split up from the restaurant Rock House Grill and the entertainment area Mine Shaft. They do not have the same hours.
The manager told me they have not updated this listing in over 12 years, so the store hours are not correct for the entertainment area. He said for the most up-to-date information go to their website.
We drove well over an hour to get there and after eating was not able to do anything else. No bowling no arcade. It was very sad for our birthday guests.
The manager gave off the impression since they are the only entertainment complex in town. They don’t care about the customer. They had a small group bowling using 2 lanes, but wouldn’t allow us to bowl. Even though all the other lanes were open.

This was conveniently located next to our hotel. Good selection of food. There was everything from burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salads and more. The fried mushrooms were good.

Was trying to get to the hockey game on time, but waited at our table for 15 minutes and no one showed up to take our order. Not even for drinks. Place was more than 1/2 empty at 5pm. Not sure if they were short staffed, but no one even glanced our way. Had to bail to eat elsewhere to make it on time.

Came in with the boys and my fiance, the rockhpuse did not disappoint in The slightest with large portions, hearty selection and mouth smacking flavor from meal to meal. Pack and to go if you must but you are missing out on the dine-in experience of the mineshaft combo featuring several fun arcade like games and a bowling alley to rack up points after stuffing your faces at the rockhouse.

Our waitress was wonderful. Food was decent. The steak bites were my favorite thing. Cheap prices for bowling and games. Tables for seating were a little inconvenient for someone in a wheelchair. They stated that they only had one table that could accommodate which was already taken so my husband had to sit at a table that rested at his chin.

Amazing food, huge portions, and reasonably priced! I don’t like that the only entrance is shared with The Mine Shaft so if you’re bringing kids it’s like walking into a casino with flashing lights and prize area.

Went to go bowling with my family and waited for service for a few minutes. When the employee arrived at counter he assisted others that walked up and weren’t in line or waiting proceded to get them situated for bowling and others. When he finally got to me after assisting other patrons he proceeded to tell me that he didn’t have room for my family to play or sit and eat. He said there wasn’t room bc of the special Olympics. His attitude and service was horrible and I will never go back nor will I tell anyone to ever do anything there again! Broke my sons heart and uncalled for for his horrible behavior and attitude.

Went there to enjoy graduation of my friend. Ate in rock house. Their food item is good. But they need to use less salt in their bread and meats. It was super salty for the couples of items. Rather than putting too much onions it is better to add some other stuff in the sandwiches. A grilled pepper (serrano or jalapeno) would be great as sides or inside the sandwiches. The washroom was not matching to the environment. You can have your food delivered to the bowling area. The bowling area is also kind of old. The shoes as well. However, it is UP what we can expect more. It was fun time. Thats why gave 4 stars though in my mind it is 3.
