I love this Cafe where they served breakfast, Mexican, and American meals every day in Uptown Whittier. They got burgers, sandwiches, salads, ice cream, and smoothies for customers to enjoy. Other than that, Mimo’s Cafe is very nice the way they cleaned it up.

This establishment is a gem. Went there for breakfast and the second I open the front door the aroma of baked goods hit my senses.
The server made us feel welcome. She made our drinks to order and they were delicious. The best hot chocolate I have had thus far.
The quality of the food was very good and it came piping hot. The flavors of the Spanish omelet were fantastic. The waffles and eggs with thick-cut bacon. Delicious food, but please come see for yourselves. This was my personal experience.

This happened about a year and a half ago, but forgot to review – but their employees were extremely awful & rude. I chalked it up as a one-off, but in conversation with others just recently – it’s clear this is a consistent issue there. Food was up to par, but making the order was like going to the DMV in the 80s. I walk Uptown weekly and have never gone back – sucks that these positive reviews will draw folks there and change their perspective on our wonderful Greenleaf, when there’s much better restaurants to visit.

My son took me here for the first time, and I’m glad we dined there. I was surprised at the huge menu selection being that it’s a very small place. There were only 2 people working but they were friendly. There are also tables to dine outside but it was raining so we dined inside which was fairly clean. After ordering we received our food in 20 minutes which was worth the wait, I ordered a chicken sandwich which came with fries it was delicious! Your served a great amount and I couldn’t finish my food,, I definitely recommend this place!

Really mellow atmosphere, there is seating available inside & outside the establishment. Service is really friendly and helpful. Fast service and food quality is good. Portions are decent, worth the reasonable prices. There is a variety of food items to select from. One awesome feature is breakfast served all day. They also have fresh pastries. Plenty of parking in the parking garage behind the shop’s.

Went there for lunch and ordered a combo burrito which, according to their menu description, is supposed to come with chicken and beef aside from all the usual ingredients you’d expect to find inside a burrito. Turned out the thing I was served was about 90% guacamole, cream cheese and tomato In other words all the expensive ingredients were in microscopic amount. I don’t usually write reviews good or bad. I understand that food makes it for you, sometimes it doesn’t and that’s fine. Ripping customers off is a different story and not acceptable.

It was my first time coming here, and I was not disappointed. The food is really good. I got a cesaer salad, 2 kids breakfast, a veggie soup. The salad was so good the lettuce was green and vibrant, not like other places, and the chicken was well seasoned and not dry. My kids finished their breakfast they had 2 pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Someone else had a club sandwich, and it looked really good, I regret not getting the club sandwich with potato salad, I’m definitely getting that next time. The service is great 10/10.

Rude staff. Friend asked for a cup of water and the lady made an annoyed face. I asked for extra salsa for my burrito, the other guy working goes and places it away from me, and then walks towards me without giving me the salsa. Food was whatever… not worth the horrible service.

The pastrami sandwich comes with a hefty amount of pastrami, very tasty!!!
The carne asada fries were great, but I really wish it didn’t come with sauce. I think it would be great without the zesty sauce. Maybe grill the steak with some fresh pepper and it’ll be fine 🙂 even better, grind a bunch a from pepper corns over the entire dish
I was surprised I almost wasn’t able to finish them together; these two are a great combo to eat together, but no sauce for me next time.
I would definitely try this place again; I’d likely recommend it.

TRY THEIR CHILLIE CHEESE FRIES! Their Chili cheese fries are insane. They have the perfect amount of cheese and chili. In fact the chili itself is slight spicy which gives it such a distinct taste and completely separates their recipe over everyone’s else’s. Trust me these fries will have you come back
