Very friendly staff will take the time to explain the menu of you need help. Excellent food, expertly prepared. It is hard to pick a favorite dish. We ordered several dishes and all of them were great. Most of our dishes were fairly rich; we were very full when we left. Good wine list of Spanish wines, several by the glass, and lots of unusual varietals. Nice cocktail menu as well with a full bar. Great music,, mostly European like The Cure and even some Spanish bands with some Bowie mixed in. Will definitely be back.

This place was so good we went twice while we were in Breckinridge (so we could try everything we were too full to try the first time)! Everything is made and presented with care and elegance, from the small plates to the steaming cast iron full of paella. Each dish is so creative and cooked to perfection that we picked the plates clean and were eating leftover sauces with our spoons. The drinks are delicious, strong, and uniquely crafted to go along with any of the dishes you order. The atmosphere is intimate and classy and the servers are attentive while giving you space to enjoy your food and drink. I highly recommend anything on the menu – plan to spend an hour or two here because you will want to try everything!

We had an amazing experience at Mimo Fancy Tapas. The atmosphere is super personable and will make you feel like a very exclusive customer. Our server, Rob, was attentive, patient, and very kind. There are several items from the cocktail and food menus that I could easily recommend to you but from my photos you’ll notice that we practically tried everything (even though I didn’t upload all my photos). The important point is that anything coming from the kitchen or the bar will be delicious and presented beautifully. You can’t go wrong. Mimo is a must-go while in Breck.

Fantastic food & service

After a long day skiing and snowboarding, fine food & drinks are the best way finish your evening. We were delighted to find a table at Mimo Fine Tapas, a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant on the Main Street in Breckenridge down the stairs below street level. Great ambience with friendly staff and a well stocked bar and wine cellar. We called early to check the best time, the staff were very helpful. The menu was well explained by our server Robert and he gave us great recommendations for food and wine. We tried all of the top items and they were incredibly great. Thoroughly recommend the empanada, especially the chef inspired tomato salsa and chipotle aioli sauces. The croquettes were the BEST, with a perfectly blended aioli. The deep fried shrimp was both crunchy and fresh, with a delicious creamy aioli sauce (also perfect with the chipotle aioli!). You have not lived until you eat the patatas bravas, cooked to a precision crunch with both aioli and a red sauce. Seafood lovers with enjoy the mussels with a creamy broth and unlimited batches of toasted sourdough slices (just dipping the bread in the sauce will satisfy the non-seafood lovers at your table!). The octopus (pulp) not only looks great, but was juicy, tasty and soft as tofu. The lamb shank on mash literally melts in your mouth and has a delicious gravy with a hint of smokey maple or something soooo yummy just like it. To complete the ensemble, we had the 3-cheese cheese cake with chocolate, which was just the right sweetness as well as the almond cake with ice cream. The star of the almond cake was definitely the AMAZING black currant compote. Still suffering a bit from altitude, we appreciated the tasty yet non-alcoholic cocktails with vermouth, pineapple and tropical options. Great for kids and parents.

Thoroughly recommend and can’t wait to return on my next trip to Breckenridge.

Very happy with dinner here. We were early (5 pm) with no one else there. The male bartender/ waiter was extremely nice and very helpful on what to order. The Tosta de setas was my fave along with the Crema Catalana.

Overall a very pleasurable experience and I highly recommend.

The food and atmosphere were both fantastic. I really loved the 3 tapas we shared, and the vibe was really good.

The only reason it’s not a 5 is the service experience was strange. We finished our meal and when we declined dessert, our server literally never came back. We sat around waiting for about 15-20 minutes assuming they would be coming back with the check but they were never seen again (there was only one other table there as well and the place isn’t big so I’m not sure what happened).

I had to go down to the person working the bar and ask for the check, at which point he was very kind and we were finally able to pay and leave.

I’m assuming our experience was a rare occurrence, but it was strange nonetheless.

Excellent ambience and tapas. The food made me feel like I was at home, in Barcelona. The cocktails are unique and very tasty! The staff was wonderful, and knowledgeable about the drinks and food menu. We had a great tapas night! Very cozy environment and enjoyable for a date night.

This was incredibly good. I thought to myself as I was eating, I want to try and get back once more before we leave. Every bite, every dish, through and through was to die for. We eat out frequently and review food stops around the world. So I don’t take lightly when I say this is my top 5! You always hope for one of those rare meals where every dish is good. This was just that! The drinks and drink menu are super creative and delicious, some good wine and Spanish wines to select from; it’s a place to come and share plates and drinks. Best tapas I’ve ever had and I’ve had tapas in Spain! Wow!

Located in the heart of Main St, Mimo Fancy Tapas offers a delightful Spanish culinary experience. The ambiance is undeniably romantic, with dim lighting, cozy seating, and soft music in the background. The staff are incredibly friendly, providing attentive service without being overbearing. Each dish is a burst of flavor, from traditional patatas bravas to succulent gambas al ajillo. We highly recommend the croquettes, potatas bravas, empanadas (must love mushroom) and gambas. Make sure you stop in for an unforgettable evening filled with warmth, charm and FLAVOR!

Extraordinary food quality and taste. Went twice on the same trip and tried all dishes featured on the photos (some twice); chipirones, croquetas, crema catalana, battered shrimp, sliders, bravas, mussels and tarta de queso. Do not miss the mussels and croquetas, they are an absolute must. My only regret is not trying the cocktails, maybe next time !
