We love going to Mimi’s Cafe and so glad to find one so close once we moved back to CA from VA. Delicious food, great service, and the staff are always friendly and have big smiles on their face.
I have to say though my new favorite from them is the tomato basil soup. I enjoy a good tomato soup but this one? I could eat for days. Creamy, smooth, full of flavor! Doesn’t get any better than that!
And you definitely can’t go wrong with their muffins. Warm when they serve it and delicious in every bite. Our daughter loves their Mac and cheese with French fries too.

I tend to be a bit of a workaholic and rarely treat myself. Today was different. Tired of the usual fast food, its my first time at Miami’s and i gotta say that I loved it! It has a beautiful & relaxing atmosphere that you can go alone or with a family. While there may be a bit of a wait to sit, the food was comforting and the staff is friendly and attentive. The bathrooms are pretty too! I had a cup of tomato basil soup and tuscan chicken that was well cooked (Forgot to take a pic before I ate it!) Truthfully, I tend to like eating my soup with bread usually need more then one stick, the staff had no problem accommodating my refill request (twice!) and did so with a smile. The little Madelines that came in the basket were a sweet treat but my favorite was finish was the creme brule. If you like custards and toasted marshmallows, give this a try! Cracking the top was my own little fun. So glad i tried something new and I definitly will come again

I’ve been to a few Mimi’s around San Diego, and I usually have terrible service. To the point where I refuse to go back to those Mimi’s. But since I happened to go to this one, my server was nothing like the other Mimi’s I have been to. She did an excellent job and the food tasted great. Guess we can’t judge them all off of one.

Parking is easy. The food is fresh and plentiful. OMG, the orange juice is amazing. My sister had the sunrise omelette and I had the mushroom brie melt. Everything was wonderful. The place is also handicap friendly.

Unfortunately, Mimi’s Cafe is suffering and the quality of their food reflects it. The only thing going for them is the friendly people working there. Talking with the manager I found out they’re going through the same cost savings cuts as Marie Calendar did. Adding insult to injury the glasses and flatware were dirty. Kinda disgusting and a super bummer

We were surprised at the experience. The food was much better than any of us expected. We were quite happy with the meal. Service was hit and miss, which was wierd since they only had 4 people in the while place. They did a shift change in the middle of our meal though and it got better, so maybe the first waitress knowing she wouldn’t be there for the tip made her not care as much or maybe it was a long day. Overall, it was a pretty nice, cheaper meal.

While my first few visits to Mimi’s were amazing, the quality of the food and service has been VERY inconsistent. I normally order the smoked salmon omelette, which is supposed to come with capers, red onion and a sauce. The last time I ordered it, it was literally just plain eggs with some smoked salmon in it. I was dining with my fiancee and toddler at the time and was starving, so I didn’t bother to mention it to our waitress because I was hungry and didn’t want to be a bother.
However, based upon my last several trips I felt compelled to leave this review. When Mimi’s is great, they are REALLY great. But I never know when I will be getting good food/service or mediocre.
I will say that the hostess on my last two visits was exceptionally nice. Regrettably, I did not catch her name. In any case, my family and I will be taking a break from this restaurant for now.

Friendly service. Food was good. Nicely seasoned fries. Ordered the brie burger, my mom ordered the half chicken, which she says it’s so delicious. Took a little while to get our food but my burger was good, needed a bit more seasoning. Was able to get a coupon online and got a free entree. Good places tasty food.
