Found by accident this Cuban masterpiece! There are so many cuban places that do to much so wrong. Mimas do simple to perfection. How do i know you ask well when the whole place is full of abuelas and abuelos you know your in the right place! The chicken soup was homemade perfect for that day your not feeling well and need a taste from your childhood. The lechon sandwich was fresh and sooo juicy! My midnight sandwich was made with egg based cuban bread, soft and yummy. The ham and pork and cheese was melted to gooy greatness. Service was very friendly and i liked that the owner or manager checked in on everyone. Oh the cafe con leche and milkshakes were outstanding too. Overall i think this is the best overall Cuban sandwich shop i have tried. Skip 8th street!

Cute small restaurant. So not suitable for large parties. The food was great and service was good as well.
Everything we ate was delicious, very well served. The appetizer size of the tostones rellenos surprised me. I could probably eat that as just a meal. So good! Will go back to try more food and their coffee.

We just happened to google restaurants near by and came across this restaurant! The food was great! My husband’s omelette was exceptional! The coffee was amazing! You should look them up if you are in the Coral Springs area! And the staff was above any other restaurant! Daniel and Nicole made us feel like family! We made a great choice!

I’d heard great things about Mima’s and had the opportunity to work with them for a catered lunch for about 50 people. They took care of everything – suggested a menu, delivered and set up the food early for us, and everything tasted delicious. (Highly recommend the vaca frita!) Portions were very generous and there was plenty for people to grab a second helping, which they did!

I recently discovered Mimas1868 on Sample Road, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of character thanks to Rene! Which is the husband and part owner of the cook which is his wife! A lovely family owned restaurant with TRUE authentic Cuban food and flavors. Also, homemade pastelitos made THAT same day by the cook herself.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I loved their enthusiasm for their place.
The food? Absolutely fantastic and this is as close to Cuban CUBAN as you’re going to get ! Next step up is just going to a Cuban household or go to Cuba. You can tell they put thought and care into every dish. I tried the very safe palomilla and it was cooked to perfection as well as was packed with flavor. My husband got the ropa vieja which translates to “old clothes” and it is a MUST!!!
Whether you’re in the mood for a casual bite or a sit-down meal with friends or family, Mimas1868 delivers. I’II definitely be coming back and bringing others with me!

I can’t say that I’ve had very much Cuban food in my time. I can however says that I like to eat all kinds of food and it shows. That being said the dishes my wife and I shared at Mina’s 1868 Cuban Cafe were out standing! The food was fresh, delicious and well prepared and we were made to feel like family. We look forward to any opportunity we have to eat there again.

The place is small but mighty! Has amazingly tasty Cuban food! For the lunch crowd you have to arrive either early or late since there are only a few tables inside. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here a few times. It is a hole in the wall, small so if you might have to wait for a table. Food is so yummy and delicious. Everything I have had here has not disappointed. Get the dessert. Even if your going to have it later
