I have been meaning to visit here for a while. The restaurant is kinda a cafe setting. You order on the POS and they’ll bring your food to your table. Staffs here are friendly and go above and beyond. I ordered their empanada specials (2 for $8), jamon croqueta, and Miami cuban sandwich. Their croqueta is solid. There’s no empty space between fillings and batter. Empanadas are also generous with fillings. Well fried and not greasy. Lastly their Miami Cuban Sandwich is also good. Portion is big and the pulled pork is not chewy when eaten. Definitely recommend this place for sandwich

Cute vibe and fantastic chicken empanada. The juiciest empanada I’ve had and what I love most is the vibe. Very friendly people—give it a try if you are in the neighborhood. PS—I also noticed they bake their own breads which is impressive —might give that a try next time

With minimal options of Latino restaurants in the South Shore we were so happy to find this option. It was a warm surprise to enter into a vibrant spot and I can’t wait to try the other menu items.

We had a great experience ordering takeout from here. They were very helpful on the phone, and the delivery showed up right on time. The food was super delicious and, surprisingly, reheated really well, even the tostones and empanadillas. Desserts were excellent. VERY happy to have a good Cuban spot nearby.

We ordered for pick up so we did not get to expertise atmosphere. The food was amazing, pork well cooked and seasoned. Rice was not overcooked like most places. Definitely going to become a regular spot for us!

Mima’s Cuban Cafe is beyond wonderful. The service is great, the staff are very friendly and it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the tropics! Please don’t get me started on the food everything is handmade bread , homemade empanadas and they are delectable every flavor! The first ingredient Is love and that is what this family serves all of their food is so fresh and tasty, the spice is just right never too little never too much. Our very favorite dish are the pork chops and they are tender and juicy they literally make my mouth water, the Cuban sandwich is a must and for dessert have some of her tres leches cake you will not be disappointed! If you get thirsty they have a wide variety of drinks including several tropical drinks that are just so refreshing, so run, don’t walk Mima’s Cafe in Rockland, Mass. Lastly they were recently featured on Phantom Gourmet and you can watch that on YouTube and see for yourself!

One of the best restaurants in the south shore! We try to come as often as we can and try different things, and its an excellent meal every time. The family working here is super friendly. Our favorite order is the Fried Pork Chunks/Masitas with their white rice.

Best value on the south shore and you can’t find Cuban food like this anywhere else in New England. Full stop. So we just got back from our first trip to Mima‘s and holy smokes were we blown away. This amazing family from Brockton has created this magical transport to Cuba, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico all under one roof. The flavors are so authentic. The portions are incredibly generous. The service is world class. Imagine going to your family friends home and just being showered with generosity and love. That’s how this feels when you step in there. The owner Abby sent us samples of other things on the menu because we were curious about them and didn’t charge us. She wanted us to have the best experience possible. They offered to give us more beans at the end of service because we had run out. It just feels like you are in your grandma‘s house and she is piling the food on and it’s incredibly high-quality and made with so much love. My husband absolutely loves Cuban sandwiches and we have been all over the country trying different Cubans. Of course we’ve been to Miami
and had some of the best Cubans that Miami has to offer. My husband was blown away by this Cuban. The pork was tender, the flavors were on point, the bread was crispy, everything was perfect. We were absolutely blown away by the pork entrée. Lechon/Braised Pork entree – it is slow marinated for five days and then very slow roasted. It falls right apart when you put it in your mouth, but then it has these delicious pockets of fat and it’s so succulent. What an amazing place. The inside of the restaurant is cheerful and bright, and the music is festive and fun. We had so much fun inside of this restaurant on a Friday night. It felt like we were in a little Havana family restaurant. What an awesome experience. We will be back. Also do not sleep on the desserts. The desserts are incredible.

Only went for coffee. At a hockey game next door and went in sat at table and had the best cafe con leche since Madrid. Also purchased a bread to go. Bread is soft and puffy, haven’t tried it yet but another patron had purchased it and said it was delicious. Baked in store. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Wish I lived closer but thinking will take a day trip in near future to try the food.
