David Levy and Barry Robbins, welcome you to their version of a traditional deli! When we opened in 1995 our goal was to remind our customers what a deli experience is like. From crunchy kosher pickles to piled high pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, steaming bowls of matzo ball soup, traditional brisket dinners and a bakery boasting homemade recipes, we hope to please our customers from start to finish. We work hard to source the best meats, vegetables, and ingredients all while developing new items to keep up with current culinary trends! We hope that you enjoy your experience as much as we enjoy serving you.

Pricey but delicious food & great service. Wasn’t happy with the potato pancakes! How hard is that?? Tasted like it was filled with cornbread or mashed potatoes instead of grated
Excellent coffee, delicious salads & sandwiches. Was very loud in there!

Always appealing and fantastic tasting food, no matter what the order is. Best Arnold Palmer in the area. Desserts are not abundant on the menu, but quite abundant in the deli section – where you can find many favorites and unique dishes. The banana pudding can be hit or miss as it may be just right, or be like a chunky soup – but that’s okay since it goes down flavorful and all. Don’t miss out and try the food here.

We had a very nice time at Milton’s a few days ago. It has very easy access to the front entrance and parking was not a problem. We were seated immediately and our server, who was very welcoming and friendly, took our order quickly. The food was very good but a bit expensive (like everything else, these days).
All in all, it was a very nice stop on the way home from the fairgrounds.

Super busy when we got there, but got seated fairly quickly. Place was packed, but our server was composed, friendly, and attentive. I got the lox on an onion bagel and it was really good. Only snafu was that my daughter got onions on her sandwich when she asked for none, but she just picked them off and I added them to mine. Win/win! Will definitely go again next time I’m out there.

This place was pretty good and not too bad. They had very little beer and more meats.
The Ruben was amazing. The Ceaser and ranch was also incredible. Probably made in house. We went here on an extremely WHIM. My wife and I could not decide on a place to eat, then my baby crapped his diaper while we were driving north from the San Diego zoo…. so I just took the exit at Del Mar and parked in front of Miltons…
Ok
Bye

We stopped in here for dinner on the way home from SeaWorld. My triple decker Turkey Club was amazing. I could only eat half of it. The fries were also first rate. My dining companions were happy with their brisket sandwich and western hamburger respectively. Hostess Shannon seated us quickly and checked in on us several times throughout the meal. Server Bryant was friendly, helpful and efficient.

The food was good, nothing special just the regular American breakfast. While the server was nice, the restaurant didn’t have enough staff for the Saturday morning crowd, so the wait was very long. While they madw the food pretty quicklly, taking our order took at least 20-25 min. The prices are extremely high for the kind of comfort food they serve. Omelettes are $20+ , they charge for every topping thus you can easily end in the high 20’s, soda is $6 and they will charge you for every refill. They didn’t even ask us if we wanted a refill and ended up charging us. Filter coffee is $7! In the end the screeen for tip starts at 20% and up (you can likely adjust but most people don’t even know how to do it or dont bother). So $209 for 4 meals including 4 drinks and 2 filter coffees is way too expensive. The kitchen is on the way to the bathrooms and it did not look very clean. Seems the place used to be very nice in its prime, but it is way too expensive for the kind of food and service they offer at this time. We are not coming back.

My husband and I were on our way to picnic near my aunt’s house in Solana beach. I didn’t know about milton’s, but he was raving about their pastries and sandwiches. So we stopped by to get a variety of pastries to bring to the picnic, they were all devoured before even getting to the main lunch foods! They have a really great delicate touch on each of their pastries. If you’re in the area I definitely recommend trying this place. I would love to go back to try some of their other food / sandwich items.

I ate at Milton’s 08/15/2025. I ordered a lean corned beef sandwich which was good. I asked the waitress for a pound of lean corned beef to take home. When I opened the take home package it was heavy with FAT. I could not and would not eat it. I took a picture and put the corned beef in the trash. The worst part is today, I went to Milton’s with a picture of the fatty corned beef. The cashier looked at the photo shugged her shoulders and said it looks okay. I have been going to Milton’s since 2016. It’s not the same. I don’t recommend going to Milton’s. If you do go and get take out look at the food before taking it home.

It’s a great classic spot for a pastrami sandwich. The parking is a little rough on weekends, but they have a great bakery and goods to go. The prices are high, hut that’s to be expected in this area. I would add, though, that the portion sizes are small for the cost to value ratio. Overall a good spot to try, just perhaps not a regular hangout.
