Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection! The mashed potatoes were so flavorful and silky, and the dessert was out of this world — rich dark chocolate with white chocolate mousse and fresh berries. We devoured every bite! An amazing place to eat any time, and absolutely perfect for a date night. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to McCormick & Schmick’s in Edina more times than I can count, especially for happy hour — and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, and I love grabbing a seat at the bar. There’s something fun about striking up conversations with the folks next to you — a simple hi and a smile often turn into interesting chats that make the evening even better.
The staff is fantastic. The bartender, Jeff, is always friendly, attentive, and quick with a great drink. It’s no surprise this place is buzzing during happy hour. And when I’m not at the bar? The service from the rest of the team is just as stellar — warm, professional, and welcoming.
I even chose McCormick & Schmick’s for a birthday dinner, and I couldn’t have been happier. From appetizers to entrees, everything was prepared beautifully and tasted amazing. The Wagyu carpaccio, shrimp and scallop Rockefeller, and filet mignon were absolute standouts — so flavorful and perfectly cooked. And of course, we had to finish the meal with a classic crème brûlée — the perfect sweet ending.

You won’t believe it. They actually wrote happy birthday at the top of the menus to help celebrate !! That extra touch was noticed and talked about at our table.
My mother recalled how more fine dining establishments used to do this when you told them you were coming to celebrate a birthday! – THANKS for the extra touch.
Now, special call out if you have any dietary restrictions or gluten issues. Please let your waiter know. They were very knowledgeable & able to assist.
We had a fabulous time. I took photos of the food & told my family members thanks my friends on Google thank you lol.
Yes, the cost on food is above average. But. You are not going to pizza ranch or McDonald’s. Your going to a fine dinning establishment. What you get is fabulous food!
For the birthday gal we did get free burnt cream and ordered a chocolate cake to share. There were 7 of us and we each took little slices.

We went for Mother’s Day expecting a similar experience that we’ve had at this restaurant in other cities. Unfortunately, it was not. I’ll start with the positives. The cocktails and wine were good and our server Dereck was very nice, informative and calm even though the place was very busy. The presentation of the food was very pretty and Dereck spaced out our courses nicely. We sat in a booth with a big picture windows looking at the parking lot. The oysters tasted great but were not whole inside the shell. Most had been cut in half which I’m sure was a mistake. The Chilean sea bass was overcooked and tough but the risotto with it was good. I did let the server know about the bass because I only ate a few bites of it. He did take it off of the bill which was very nice of him. The atmosphere was not what I expected given the other McCormick and Schmick’s I’ve dined in. It was a bit loud and did not feel high end.

I know it’d a chain but our waiter Luis was outstanding, the food and drinks were great (especially the tableside Old Fashioned), and the atmosphere exudes class. You get a lot for what you pay on the food. I would definitely return and not just for a special occasion.

If you have hours of spare time, like your drinks watered down, goopy risotto and a place where service is an afterthought, than this is a place for you. We waited a solid 30 minutes to get one drink menu for 2 people and then 15 more minutes to order a drink and then 15 more minutes to be told that they were out of a drink! How do you run out of a cocktail? It was at least an hour before I got my watered down drink and my fiancee got hers 20 minutes later. The server was barely visible in the room to ask any questions and didn’t appear knowledgeable about the menu. Don’t waste your time coming here. The menu looked really good but the execution was hit or miss. The appetizers were great and that stuffed salmon was delicious. However, the sea bass was sub par and the mushroom risotto tasted like a goopy dry paste that was cooked a week ago and microwaved 18 times before it was served. This was all on Valentine’s day. Yuk.

First time visiting & it did not disappoint! The salmon off of the lunch menu was perfect and the chopped salad was to die for. I’m dreaming about going back for it asap. Seriously the best salad I’ve had in a long timeS We stopped during lunch & they seated in the bar area. The bartender was our server & he did an excellent job. Quick, friendly, personable service. I can’t remember his name though (talk with dark hair.) Looking forward to trying steak & other seafood when we return next.

Delicious lunch, we stopped in Sunday and we got seated right way no reservation. Rick was a great server and I really liked the Rockefeller oysters and the sea bass. My husband enjoyed his steak and it was such an intimate dining experience.
