First time trying out Milly’s based on the reviews and there aren’t a lot of places outside of Pequods and Burt’s that are doing pan style at a high level. Tried the OnlyPans and a build your own with veggies. The crust is excellent, airy with some chew, not too dense. Sauce is tangy, also very well done. Toppings are a bit lighter than other pizza styles, not a lot of stringy cheese or covered in meat/veggies. I did find the ingredients and balance of the OnlyPans to be exceptional, a lot of different flavors and textures, this was the stand out. Very glad I tried, but at the price point it will be a treat and not in the regular rotation.

Doing my research before coming to Chicago I had found this gem on YouTube. Robert described the process for his craft is great detail and with a charm for his city that intrigued me. Coming from South Alabama I wanted to make every restaurant pick meaningful. I awoke promptly at 8am as instructed by his website and secured my 6pm spot. Milly’s was truly worth the hype, would highly recommend. The staff is welcoming and very friendly.
Even though it is clearly stated online and posted in plain English on the door we were amazed to see how many people could not grasp the concept of a limited availability. The staff was very kind and friendly to them regardless of their actions.
If you haven’t already been here it’s a must while in the Chicago proper. Stay blessed Milly’s

I was finally able to secure a pizza for pick-up this evening. You have to order between 8-9am or else they’ll be sold out. I ordered the Tom Skilling and OnlyPans. You could taste the freshness of ingredients and the bread was delicious — so soft and not too thick. The tomato sauce tasted incredible as well. I will absolutely order again. Top 5 pizza in Chicago for me.

Tried the OnlyPans, and was overwhelmed by the incredible flavors!! The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite.
Easily the best pizza in Chicago, and probably a contender for best I’ve had at all anywhere.
No words can describe what this place offers! Highly recommend this place!!
Make sure to check their website to preorder around 745am, usually opens up a few minutes prior to 8am.

Milly’s has good caramelized crust pan pizza. With that being said if you are a fan a Pegouds pizza, then you will like Milly’s. Robert Maleski has his pan pizza down! master pizza builder. I do like the fact that his dough/crust is thinner and more flavorful than peqouds. The only thing I would say is, I wish his caramelized crust wasn’t so caramelized sometimes it could be bit bitter and burnt in my opinion. It should be a dark golden brown and the sauce is a little bit more on the blander side for me. I ordered a cheese pizza with fresh mozzarella the ordering process is a little funky, but when we got there, we were able to sit down at a table and eat, they brought out the pizza on a sheet pan I definitely prefer it when it comes out in the actual pan like Peqouds. I will never order fresh mozzarella on a pan pizza again that was pointless and a waste of money. Robert isn’t as generous like some pizzerias with his toppings. Inside is small with a few tables and chairs, but Milly’s is moving soon to a bigger location so I’m sure something’s will change in the future. Overall, I think it’s worth to visit Milly’s.

Milly’s is worth the hype and the fact that if you don’t order between 8-9 AM it will sell out as it is that good. The mark of a good pizza place is to order just a plain old cheese pizza and Milly’s nailed that test. Of course, you shouldn’t just order a plain cheese as all of their toppings and combos are outstanding. I’d say its hands down better than Pequod’s and I am glad they opened up this location as now I can rotate between this and Piece and be a happy man.

Ordering the onlypans pizza for take out was a great idea. It was still hot when I opened the box and the crust had that crispy edge everyone talks about. The mix of cheese pesto and chili honey made it feel really special even at home. The portions were hearty and filling without being too heavy. I will definitely be doing take out from here again.

The best deep dish pizza you’ll ever find in Chicago, trust me.
Important: they make a limited number of pizzas each day, so you must order online at least one day in advance.
Now, about the pizza: amazing, amazing, amazing, we got the Only Pans, and let me tell you, you can instantly feel the quality of the ingredients the moment you open the box. The smell is incredible, the flavor is rich, and the consistency of the cheese is superb. Best ricotta I’ve ever had.
The combination of chili honey and pesto is superb, the pepperoni adds a bold kick that blends perfectly with the creamy ricotta. The pizza is thick and hearty, but not hard to chew, just the right texture.
This pizza is pure poetry for your mouth.
Quick note on logistics: it’s takeout only, you order online, pick it up, and that’s it. No dine-in.
Judging by all the local customers around, you can tell this is a true Chicagoan gem.
10 out of 10.

After a year of waiting because of how far away their Uptown location was, I was finally able to try Milly’s now that they’re in West Town and boy did they deliver!
I’m a huge fan of Detroit style pizza and their pan pizzas feel like a hybrid between deep dish and Detroit style. Perfectly crisped cheesy crust, flavorful sauce, and high quality toppings. The taste 100% backs up the beautiful looks.
Order online ahead of time. They have one booth and a few bar stools at the window for dine in which I took advantage of. They provide plates, paper towels, and utensils. No drinks despite soda being listed on the board. I didn’t bring my own drink, but I think they will allow you to do so. I was just fine because the pizza was so enjoyable.
I’m so excited they’re in my area and can’t wait to return.
