Recently voted Best Burger in the Twin Cities, so I had to check it out. I am mixed….
I sat at the bar, chatted with the owner, had a great beer, burger and fries. Loved the country music on the juke box. Owner was really nice. Super fun and laid back atmosphere. LOVED IT. Absolutely worth checking out.
…but the **BEST** burger in the Twin Cities? I don’t know about that.

Overhyped burger joint. Don’t get how this place is one of the best burgers places in area. Burger was very bland along with the fries. The burger tasted like it was already precooked and then was reheated. Burger was no where near the category of best burger. Service was good and it’s a nice old school bar and grill but bar is limited on drinks.

Every time we have been there it is always been a great experience. We love the fact that it is a simple bar and restaurant with great hamburgers

We met here for a family get together. The bar tender/waitress was absolutely awesome. The food was great. We were taking pictures and a lady came out and offered to take a few pictures. Then we had a group hug and 2 gentlemen came out and wondered what was going on. We told him the situation and he said “more families need to do that.” He said it brought him to tears.

This hidden bar and grill the great city of Saint Michael is definitely worth a stop for a great lunch or dinner.
The hamburgers from Millside Tavern are absolutely my favorite in the area. Very generously sized beef patties on them with a large amount of burger types from spicy ones, to classics like a california or bacon and cheese. They also have other great foods on their menu like a steak sandwich or chicken tenders (amazing).
The amount of fries you get with each is incredible as well and taste delicious.
Great happy hour prices for drinks as well.
If you are looking for a great meal overlooking the river in Saint Michael, stop here!

millside tavern is the definition of tucked away as they are hiding off the main road off a small side street. but i can sure tell you that the flavor of their burgers aren’t tucked away! they don’t do much more then burgers as they keep the menu simple, which is just fine with me! a cold beer and juicy burger, all inside a classic tavern…perfect!

We Went here for lunch today, party of 6. It took 1 1/2 hours for our food to come. The server who was real nice, said something about a big takeout order slowing our order down. She told us after an hour and fifteen minutes waiting. If she would have told us when we sat down, it was going to be a really long time, we would have gone somewhere else and probably returned someday. Now, I doubt we will ever be back.

This place suffers due to its small size. 1 cook and 1 waitress. Food has never been wow. Service is always slow. No fault of the one sever working hard. I’m done.

Sat for ten minutes watching three tables getting served that came in after us. Not sure if it was because we had kids but where completely ignored. I asked the waitress if we would be helped and she said there’s another waitress. Have been here many times but won’t be back after this experience.
