Born in 1949 so I have probably had dryer brisket in my life, but it has been so long ago I don’t remember it. I think I will remember this time. No wonder they were pushing sauce. Got it moist again by steaming it over a wet napkin in a covered dish in the microwave on low power. Heat the wet napkin up on high and then put the meat in on low.
OK. I have a couple slices left and have decided to use them to make Beef & Broccoli. That way I can use a sauce that won’t have 500% of the RDA of salt.

The turkey is one of my favorites and I love the potato salad. The service isn’t horrible but the person serving meats is usually lacking in greeting. I get it, food service is hard but part of that service is being approachable.

I had stopped by for lunch and had a boneless chicken plate. The chicken tasted really good, the black eyed peas were acceptable and the broccoli was average at best. I returned there today and ordered the same thing to-go. Yikes! The chicken was disgustingly chewy and well, just really bad. I have a feeling that I won’t be returning to this place.

If don’t mind your food cold and tough it’s a good place for you. I had the two meat plate which they charge extra for if you get brisket. One step away from beef jerky, probably left over from repeated heatings and cool-offs.The ribs were also very tough, dried out and exceptionally salty. A waste of $35 for two people.

Been coming here pretty much since I was old enough to remember and it’s always been some of the best BBQ I have had and I have been to a lot of different cities and states and definitely can’t go wrong with the free ice cream they give u there LOL!! Also they have always hired young people and giving them a start into the working world at a young age and I know they must have some good supervision because they have always been respectful and professional not like a lot of fast food or big franchise restaurants/fast food. Keep up the good work guys!!

Stopped to pick up lunch around 12:30, I ordered brisket and sausage, both were extremely dry and the sausage had a mushy texture. I don’t use sauce (avoiding sugar) so I had to add Tina of butter to even be able to eat…not sure if it was dry because it had been sitting under the heat lamps or was just over cooked but definitely not going back.

We got ours to-go and were not disappointed! Really good BBQ. I don’t know what other reviewers are talking about because the second I got out my car, the wonderful odor of smoky BBQ wafted in the air. Black eyed peas are- delicious. Cherry cobbler- delicious. Wife and boys were happy. We’d be regular customers.
