Notes to remember for myself:
The lobster roll was the cheapest version of lobster roll I have ever eaten. There are more lettuces than lobster and it was chilled, not the hot warm lobster roll I love to eat.
I did not like my nacho dip with the chicken. It was a disappointment and did not look like anything from the picture with guacamole and sour cream I saw on the Google reviews.
My other friend ordered the carbonara pasta with shrimp and there’s not much pasta but sure was loaded with peas. I only like sweet peas, but not this kind of peas they used.
French fries are crisp, fresh, and hot.
Lighting was very poor and I do not like to eat in the dark.
The dining table was icky.
My only complaint was our service which was friendly, but very slow.
We arrived around 6:00 p.m. on a Tuesday evening and didn’t leave until after 8:30. We were not a large party, four adults and one child. The venue was not crowded which made the long wait for our service and food confusing.
The child drink ordered was a diet Coke and she was brought an unsweet tea. We immediately corrected the waitress and she said she would bring a new drink out for her right away. We finally received it about 15 minutes later. The kid meal we ordered was for a cheeseburger that was missing the cheese. Kids meals were free that night and included a scoop of ice cream. When we got to the end of our long meal, we reminded the waitress about her free ice cream, and she charged for it. So that added more time to get that removed from the bill.
I will say the food was really good. I’ve included pictures of the ribs that I got, the shrimp bowl of friend ordered, the salad my daughter ordered. Everything tasted really good. We did get a good laugh out of the waitress bringing this little tiny box for my entire rack of ribs but we made it work.
I’ll definitely go back because the food was good, and hopefully the service was just a glitch.
We opted for loaded fries, i ordered the full baby rack ribs off of their daily specials and the hubby ordered a cilantro chicken bowl. The service was quick and personable. Overall, it was a good experience.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The mim bowls had a nice flavor, but the rice was both mushy and hard at the same time. One of my coworkers ordered wings, and the seasoning smelled like old spices that had been sitting out too long. She didn’t return them only because we were short on time, but later told us she ended up washing and re-preparing them at home.
Overall, Joey’s service deserves 5 stars, but the food experience only earns 1 star. Hopefully the kitchen quality improves, because the staff definitely makes the place worth visiting!
I order my burger well done so sometimes it is dry. This burger was huge! It was juicy and delicious! My go to for a burger from now on! My husband’s pork Shank was melt in your mouth. Good menu choices! Our server Jess was great!
