This place is a great buffet especially if you are a college kid. We got lucky and had military ID’s so we had a nice discount. The food was great and there was lots of seating. Only bad part was the Mongolian BBQ was closed. The bathrooms were also like mazes (at least the men’s restroom). Overall this buffet gets a five star because it is amazing.

Great food with an awesome atmosphere. Definitely seems like a dedicated restaurant rather than a university dining area.

Best dining facility I’ve ever experienced and as someone who works in higehr Ed with two degrees I’ve had my fair share. I’ve never seen some much inclusivity in any didn’t hall. I was visiting MSU and I will say that this was possibly #2 of my favorite places to eat. The ice cream choices are impeccable. The coffee bar isn’t just coffee but lattes too! They not have bagkes and cream cheese ; there is also Nutella and peanut butter! I love pizza on any day and there’s wasn’t just oridinary cafeteria pizza it was beutufyl! Well cooked Asian cuisine, full cereal with all my favorite name brands and a food allergy fridge for our lactose and gluten free folks. Simply amazing! This review isn’t doing it justice by a long shot. Way to go MSU!

Always a good selection of food, worst thing is when they offer finger steaks. And I got food poisoning.

Great variety of food options, very well cooked. The layout is easy to navigate. The dining stations are attractive and easy to identify. The seating options are good. The staff seemed generally friendly and when I was looking lost at one point because of my own confusion, they were very attentive and offered help in a courteous way.

Was touring the college campus with TRiO. We were able to use the dining facility for our meals. It it has a huge wagon wheel on the ceiling and the lighting gives off very posh western bar vibes. The food is set up in groups by type of meal so burgers, dogs, and sandwiches in one area, salad bar in another. There is pizza and stir fry. It was challenging trying to find all the different foods I like to eat when I wasn’t familiar with the layout. I had shrimp mango curry on rice with a side of veggies and watermelon . I would say I prefer the food here than at Emory in Atlanta. The veggies just seem to taste better.

My only complaint is that the rice was not cooked right the night i ate. it my impression that the rice cooker isn’t steaming the rice properly so everything at the bottom was turning to rice paste and the rice at the top was still hard. My armature cooking theory is: I think there was too much rice for the capacity of the pot and not enough water, so the air couldn’t circulate properly as the rice swelled. I’ll let the culinary people sort that one out though.

I was really impressed with the dining compost system though! This is awesome and I think all restaurants should have bins for all compostable food waste. It made me so happy to know my inedible rice was going to feed the plants it was the highlight of my dinner.
