On way to Glasgow and stopped off at this little gem! Log fire was a fantastic touch and the staff were super friendly, bringing out our fresh food within less than 15 mins. Definitely worth the visit.

Cafe closes at 3pm but refused to serve us at 1.56pm. Been several times and all lovely BUT not to serve an hour before closing I feel is excessive

I have seen the response from the owner. I am NOT a regular user of instagram and I did not see any posts BUT I did google the hours and saw nothing about 1,45 last orders. That said previous visits have been great so I have amended my score. I will return because it is a lovely place.

Lovely! Called by chance when meandering. Friendly service, good food – I had huge salad with chicken, avocado and roasted broccoli. Hubby tested the burger- both meals good, fresh and plentiful.
Closed Monday/Tuesdays.

Lovely authentic feel Italian restaurant
We sat outside, the seating is comfortable, there is a good amount of cover from sun & a little rain.
The garlic bread & pizza are tasty, they have lactose free cheese that was very helpful for a choice.
The staff are friendly & attentive
It is situated in a pleasant wee spot a few paces away from a small river over a bridge.
I would definitely recommend this place and would go back if we were in the area again.

We recently stayed at Morland House and the Mill Yard Cafe was recommended to us by the owners.
We were a group of 17 and pre-ordered wood-fired pizzas for our first evening, quite simply to save anyone having to cook!
The pizzas were absolutely delicious, ready on time and the order was fulfilled perfectly, we can’t recommend enough! Thank you so much!

What a gem well off the beaten track in a very quaint village. Very quintessentialy English village rural retreat. Great food at reasonable prices with the staff being freindly and efficient. Only a couple of miles detour off the A66 but well worth the extra few miles.

BEST vegetarian breakfast EVER!! It’s hard to put into words why this was so perfect other than the real sense of fresh ingredients and cooked with care. My husband and I enjoyed a lovely late breakfast, in the sunshine, yesterday morning and I’m still thinking about how beautifully this was cooked. So delicious. Kind and attentive waitress, too.
