We were wandering around after arriving in St Augustine looking for somewhere to eat before we could check in to our room. Suddenly we heard some really nice music and followed it to Mill Top Tavern. We climbed the steps to find this almost hidden gem. We came because of the music (Jim Lamb) but the food was excellent. I got the Special, southwest eggrolls and my husband got the kielbasa sandwich with fries. Wow! Everything was so good. I don’t know what they do to the fries but they’re amazing. We both got the margaritas and they were just right. Jack, the gentleman who served us was kind and attentive. What a perfect introduction to St Augustine!

The music is great, but unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. I went on a Friday around 6 PM, and the place was a bit empty—maybe because of the time—but I sat there for over 10 minutes waiting for the waitress to even acknowledge me. She was the only one working and was completely glued to her phone. I eventually just left since no one even bothered to ask if I wanted anything. Before heading out, I asked for her name at the bar: Alisa. Good luck, girl—you really need to do better.”

Good, not great, highest prices i town though. I got the boneless wings and I pretty sure they are walmart branded breaded boneless. Nachos were chips with nuked shredded cheese. Atmosphere and live singer is awesome. Service was good. Food for the price not good. Much better options all over Saint Augustine.

I like this place! When I go to St. Augustine in December each year, I like to roam around the Colonial Quarter, visit the Castillo de San Marcos, Constitution Plaza, some of the shops on King Street, etc…. and I always start my experience at the Mill Top Tavern. I get an appetizer, enjoy some live music and 3-4 shots (to warm the bones), and then I start exploring the area.

Outstanding service and mgt team. Young lady playing guitar was outstanding. Great vibe. Drinks great! We did not eat and left early do to the restaurant/ bar next door playing extremely louder than normal punk music practiceing two hours early before their show. Experience was great until they started to play excessively. Like the open air second floor location. I Would recommend and will revisit another time.

Great live music and excellent service at Mill Top Tavern. We kept moving tables until we ended up right next to the singer —totally worth it. Fun atmosphere and good vibes overall. Just a heads-up: be careful with the restroom, you have to go down a lot of stairs haha. Would definitely come back!

My fiancé and I were visiting from Orlando for Valentine’s Day weekend and decided to try this place. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start.
When we walked in, there were no signs or instructions explaining how to get a table. My fiancé tried asking two servers for help, but they completely ignored him. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Thankfully, a couple who was leaving noticed the situation and kindly offered us their table.
Once seated, a man who appeared to be the bartender came over. I had brought in a non-alcoholic lemonade because it was warm outside. He told me outside drinks were not allowed and that I needed to throw it away. I understood, but since I didn’t see a trash can, I asked if he could dispose of it for me. The interaction felt abrupt and unfriendly.
A woman then took our drink and food orders but didn’t write anything down. I ordered chicken nachos, but what arrived was just plain cheese nachos. My fiancé ordered chicken tenders and didn’t enjoy them. Overall, the food was very mediocre. We barely ate much of it.
Even though we still had full drinks at the table, staff kept coming by in a way that made us feel rushed, as if they wanted us to leave. The overall customer service felt inattentive at first and then impatient once we were seated.
Between the lack of direction, the poor service, and the underwhelming food, it was not a pleasant experience. We would not return or recommend it to others

Very busy! But what place wasn’t on Christmas Day. Food and drink were to notch! Service was great. There was 2 of us at a big table. We told our server we would be happy to share. We met a very nice family that got a trip to Disney from Santa!!
