Milk & Honey in Old Town Alexandria is not “just brunch”… it’s a whole experience.
We were on a quick girls trip and randomly Googled brunch nearby — and ended up at the BEST spot. Keith greeted us immediately and instantly became part of the friend group. And I’m not exaggerating when I say Keith makes an espresso martini that deserves an award.
We loved it so much we came back the very next morning because the food had us in a chokehold. Group of 6 and every dish was a 10/10 — shrimp & grits, waffles, bacon, salmon over cheesy hash… zero misses. Shoutout to Leroy because he put his whole FOOT in those shrimp & grits.
Also: DO NOT SKIP THE FRIED GREEN TOMATOES. Non-negotiable.
If you want top tier southern brunch + vibes + service, Milk & Honey is the only way.

Friendly staff food came out in a timely manner. Slightly limited menu but great options table ordered different things and we enjoyed all of our meals (shrimp & grits pictured) portions were good. HIGHLY recommend the Old Bay Honey wings!!

This was our first time eating at Milk and Honey and it was amazing! The Salmon Hash was definitely our favorite, but a close 2nd was the Shrimp and Grits, Signature Steak and Gumbo! Truly, it was all amazing and our server, Dana, was fabulous! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Alexandria.

Food: I got the Power Bowl. Mushrooms are meaty, greens flavorful and moist, cauliflower perfectly charred, and toast was on point.
Service: fast and I was interrupting the staff- maybe 15 mins from in the door to plate on the table. Probably closer to 10.
Staff: super friendly. Loved chatting with Jenna. She’s gonna do big things! The dude at the door greeted me immediately. Solid service!
Side note: I did not need the hot sauce. Everything was perfectly seasoned. These people take pride in what they do!

Went on Presidents day, we were some of the only customers there at the time in the morning but it took a while to get our order. The food was okay, not bad but not great either. I had the egg white omelet which came slightly broken as pictured, and honestly wasn’t that filling for the $26 after tip I paid for it. High prices and not too satiating of a meal. My friends got the shrimp and grits which was far more flavorful and I would highly recommend.

I am absolutely obsessed with this restaurant – the vibe, the decor is so so cute. I already knew I wanted to order the smothered chicken and biscuits and it was so much better than I could’ve dreamt it to be Like I wanna try other stuff but then I’d be missing out on this meal. Also got the mac n cheese, to die for i drank the voodoo cooler with an extra shot of rum and oh girl ✋ I love this place, I wish I lived closer so I could come all the time. 1000% will be back and will recommend to everybody

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Milk & Honey was an incredible experience from start to finish, and Ty truly made it exceptional. He was not only an amazing host, waiter, and bartender, but everything you could ever want in restaurant staff.
My coworker and I are in town from Texas for a conference, and from the moment we walked in, Ty made us feel like we were the only people in the building. He is super charming and charismatic, and the music was such a vibe. I could easily sit here for hours just enjoying the atmosphere.
The food was outstanding. The Tale of Two Fish and the Fried Green Tomatoes were absolutely amazing. Make sure you get a side of the Cajun sauce for the creamy grits and hot sauce for the fried fish.

Where do I begin? I visited this location on 11/6. We had such a wonderful experience at this location. The location and the design were amazing. Loved seeing the multiple and unique art displayed. The food was amazing. Shoutout to them biscuits! I ordered the fish sandwich and when I say they nailed that seasoning and crispness!!!? Y’all did the darn thing! Our waitress was on point in hosting us. Thank you Ms. Jenna for a very pleasant and informative experience. You really bring out the best in people and you were very attentive. Thank you for the amazing experience. I will most certainly be back!

If you want an amazing dining experience, EAT HERE! This was our first time eating here and hope we get to come back soon. Vibes were 100%. Food was even better! Dana was an amazing server. She sealed the deal for us. She treated us with so much warmth & hospitality. The General Manager/Owner Eric was great as well. We didn’t have a reservation, but we were greeted with smiles and sat quickly. For our first time in Alexandria, I’m glad we made this choice to dine here!
