Solid, solid spot. Apparently recently reopened. Bar tender (can’t recall her name) made a refreshingly yummy blueberry cocktail. The burger was really good, and so was their chili- highly recommend.
They had some spots of history in the tavern corners, like the 1904 soda machine, with info on how it made it’s way there.

We stopped here for lunch after going to the Vermont Country Store. The food was overall good, but, I feel like the servings were a bit small for the prices you were paying. My wife also got (I forgot what it was called, it’s in the pictures) the cake thing, and it came with butter, but wasn’t warm. I thought that was odd. The servers were SUPER nice, but, it was clear that they were understaffed. As a result, service was a bit slow. I can’t blame the servers, or even management, as I don’t know what the situation was. If you want food and you’re in the area, it’s a decent option, even though pricey.

We chose this restaurant ahead of time when planning our trip to Vermont due to “Comfort Food” being advertised. I was especially looking forward to the macaroni and cheese they offered with local cheddar. Our meals came very quickly, and it was apparent why. Instead of a freshly made, creamy sauce, it was a dried up bowl of what tasted like previously cooked and reheated Mac and cheese. It was luke warm and tasteless. Pretty much felt like I was eating leftovers. I was very disappointed. My husband liked his chicken pot pie. You need to rethink how you make your macaroni and cheese because its terrible and I am not the only person who told you this. Thank you

Horrible. Monday evening. Nobody in the restaurant AT ALL. We walk in, kinda smells like BO. Against my better judgment, we stayed. The server looked not very well kept. Underwear was out and I’m almost certain the BO was his. Ordered food right away. I got the Mac and cheese. My mate got the pot pie (wasn’t a fan). Mac and cheese was horrible. Zero taste and I mean nothing (I added salt and pepper at the table and still couldn’t eat it). It was also luke warm. Server come back and asks how’s everything. I told him. I asked if I could switch it out for something else. His response was “we don’t do that” (then why ask how my food is if you can’t do anything?) … so I said it’s okay I’ll just leave a review. He leaves and comes back with “I just spoke to my manager and switching it out IS something we are able to do, I’m sorry if you didn’t notice my name tag right here says visitor I’m new.” If that’s the case he needs more training before being thrown out onto the floor and probably shouldn’t make up his own policies. I changed to the grilled cheese which oddly had more taste to it than the Mac. As we were getting ready to pay we realize we left out wallets in the car (it’s 26 degrees outside and we parked across the street and down some ways) we wanted to pay with our phones to which he says “we don’t take tap” … okay guess we’ll go get the wallets. On the way out I notice the system they’re using has a card reader that I have used before and know 1000% you can tap on. So I let him know and had a hand in finishing his training. Never will go back the food and the service needs help.

While we were on our way through the Vermont countryside to the Vermont Country Store, we had lunch at Mildred’s Table which is right beside the country store. To my surprise, we were greeted and seated right away by a very friendly waitress who suggested the pulled pork sandwich special. My wife and I agreed to split the pulled pork sandwich and the grilled cheese sandwich. We also each ordered beer, the Vermont Green State by Zero Gravity and my wife The Green Stand Vermont IPA from Mount Olly Beer company. The pulled pork was fantastic, probably the best one I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The Grilled Cabot Cheese was very good too. If you’re ever in the area, don’t think twice, stop and have a bite.

After having to pass multiple diners on our way out of Vermont due to them being jam packed, we found this joint on accident and it was a huge hit. Food was good, not spectacular, but the service was immaculate! Our server whose name I cannot remember (so sorry) was a total angel. On point with timings and had brought us extra sauces when she noticed us passing around just the one. Excellent place to duck into if you need a quick bite.

Great place, food was hot and tasty. Service was good as it should be. I would recommend to my traveling friends. I had the pull pork sandwich and chicken soup and my wife ordered the pot pie, she did say it was little watery but was good.

If I could give zero stars I would. The restaurant was not busy, we sat at the bar. The greasy heavy set guy behind the bar never acknowledged anyone sitting, no Hello, no menus, no nothing. We left. What a joke. No hospitality what so ever. Get rid of him and maybe you would have service. No thanks!!!

Mildred’s Table was an awesome, unplanned part of our adventure today. We were pleasantly surprised that it was open for business. We were very sweetly greeted and seated right away. I apologize that I can’t remember everyone’s names, but our waitress’s brother was the busboy. Everyone from the Hostess, to the Busboy, to the Waitress and the Manager were all wonderful. Everyone was on task and provided impeccable service. At our table we had grilled cheese sandwiches, french fries, cole slaw, chicken fingers and a burger. Everyone said their food was good. We highly recommend Mildred’s Table. You won’t be disappointed.
