The experience was great! It’s been years since we got to do Indian cuisine and we really missed it! The food was excellent, the service was great, the entire experience was just great! Had the Chicken Vindaloo and the Chicken Jal Frazie (sp?) and they tasted great! Had the garlic naan as well. I will get two orders of naan next time! My wife and I finished off dinner with a cup of chai, and it was the perfect finish to dinner!

I have ordered from them twice. The taste is okay. Not great but not bad. However I have ordered a dish and they have given me the wrong dish every time. I got Shahi paneer. As a Indian I know what Shahi paneer is. Ne time I got a crumble not gravy has it should be. BOTH TIMES I got the wrong gravy.

There appetizers and Naan was good and correct.

PS: Got takeout both times.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this has now happened three orders in a row and because of that will likely be our last. Each time we’ve placed a large order, multiple items have been missing or incorrect. The first time, an entire entrée was missing. The second time, one of our two naan didn’t arrive. This most recent order was for my son’s birthday, and again only one of the three naan showed up.

On top of that, all six tikka masala dishes we ordered with different spice levels came as extremely hot “Indian spicy,” making most of them inedible. The total was about $160, and almost none of it could be enjoyed.

Before this order went out, I even called the restaurant, politely explained the past mistakes, and asked if they could double-check it. They said yes. When the order still arrived wrong, I called back and was told I’d be transferred to the manager but got left on hold with no one ever picking up.

Mistakes happen, but three large incorrect orders in a row and no follow-through from the restaurant is really disappointing. We want to support this place, but after these back to back experiences, it’s hard to justify ordering again.

The food is okay when it comes to their very limit options for an Indian buffet. For a limit option, I though it would be better, but it is just alright. The rice is quite dry and there are some rice that is dry, which mean that they just keep pouring new one over the old one. It is not a smart move when it comes to have a heat lamp over the bed of rice.

When it comes for the service, they are nice and all. However, they would come around to gather any of the dirty plates and would not able to check on the people to see if they are alright or would like to have anything else. I know it is a buffet, but there could be other food options from a to-go menu before leaving the area. Not only that, they should at refill water when someone who finished their glass of water. No one came to refill my water sadly.

For the price of the buffet, limited food options, and few overcooked food, it could have been better. Maybe I just came in the wrong time or day for their food. I was just slightly disappointed for paying around $20 for it.

walking into milan, i could immediately tell this dinner was going to be good. the smell was heavenly and the staff was so friendly. we were seated immediately. the chicken tikki masala was so tasty, like little cubes of chicken goodness. and i would bottle the sauce and drink it if i was allowed. each bite was heaven. the naan was out of this world. the cauliflower dish (forget what its called) was to die for – and how could i forget to mention the vegetable samosas!!! truly an out of body experience, i would live there if i could. gallub jamun (definitely spelling that wrong, so sorry) was so so yummy – wish it was a little warmer, but it was still so good. shoutout to our waiter, he was a G. compliments to the chef, can i hire you to be my private chef? overall 5 star review and a little prayer for my sanity because i live an hour away and its taking all the self control in me to not drive back rn and order dinner

My mom and I tried Milan for the first time. I absolutely love Indian food. I cook several dishes at home. However, my mom has never tried it.
The food was tasty. My favorites were the garlic naan bread, chili chicken, and the vegetables (peas, carrots, and potatoes.)
The service was excellent.
And the atmosphere was quiet and calm, and it felt like home. Thanks for welcoming us with warm smiles and great customer service! Author A L Reynolds

My stepfather owns an Indian restaurant in San francisco. A much more expensive place to live than lynchburg. Yet, this place charges double the prices. It cost over $80 for four people to order a single thing each and a drink.

My friends that own this place. Please, stop charging so much. Our families back home would be ashamed.

This was my first Indian dining experience. The restaurant was immaculately clean. The food was delicious with a variety of mellow to spicey tastes. The staff was very courteous and attentive.

I’m by far not an Indian Cuisine expert but, the lunch buffet was really good. The service was awesome all dressed in nice waiter outfits and quick to bring you drinks and constantly refreshing the buffet stirring and more food etc…. I’ve heard Indian food is very spicy but this was not. Flavorful but not spicy. They did have hot sauce I didn’t try. My son and I had a great experience. We probably should have asked how to eat each item or if there is s right or wrong way but it worked for us what we did. Highly recommend Milan Indian Cuisine. Especially if you want to try Indian and haven’t. I think there is something for everyone.
