Came across Miko Sushi by chance while walking along Robson Street. Ordered their sashimi with edamame and a beer — everything was very fresh, and the staff were warm and welcoming. A relaxed spot for Japanese food.

This place is truly a gem. The food was excellent and easily some of the best sushi we have ever had. You can really taste the difference with their house made sauces and it truly shows in the flavor and quality of each dish.
Our hostess and server Jean was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. She was an absolute pleasure to be served by.
We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be bringing our friends and family back to experience it as well.

Amazing sushi! A must visit when in Vancouver. Try each of everything (hand rolls, nigiri, rolls, sashimi). Highly recommended would be the different types of tuna belly (bluefin – Han toro, toro fatty tuna, maguro tuna). I will come back over and over! Extremely courteous and friendly staff member.

This little, unassuming sushi restaurant has the freshest fish, attention to detail, and highly skilled chefs. No gimmicks, fusion, no extreme rolls, just really good sushi from fish that’s been treated very well from ocean to plate by people who really know what they’re doing. Lots of autographs on the wall too–how many do you recognize?

I absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed at a hotel up the street so we walked here. We’ve been here a few days and have been doing a bit of a sushi crawl, and have tried several other places in the area, and THIS was the best by FAR. Their tuna sashimi was excellent, their miso was perfect, and every single ingredient tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was unbeatable. Some might say it’s not upscale, but my husband and I have never preferred that anyway. We loved looking around at all the notes on the walls from happy customers from decades past. But the main reason I would come back is the service. Everyone in here is attentive and kind. We will be coming back! Will have to make it a tradition whenever we come back to Canada.
Side note about the photos: would’ve gotten better photos of the food but we were too busy eating it all!

My knowledge of decent Japanese cuisine is limited to a 15 days long trip to the country itself and this was the closest experience I had since visiting Japan. Fish quality was above and beyond and everything was served fresh. You would probably pay 3-4x times more if this food was served to you in the east coast. Fantastic spot to visit!

Have been watching how the senior staff trained the young junior staff. Very rude and impolite. I wasn’t bothered by the new staff’s skills at all, but I was annoyed by the attitude that the senior staff showed in front of us.
The food was just ok, not worthy for the price, it’s easy to find another sushi place that had better quality and even cheaper price in Vancouver.
Plus the impatient attitude for our service was also bad. Even we said many times of thank you but never heard she said once.
Highly not recommended and will never visit again sadly.

Every time I come to Vancouver I make a point to come here, their sushi is fresh and delicious- prices reasonable too- but the real prize for me is their clam miso. I dream about that soup even though it is a small appetizer, it’s so savoury and fresh I just cant find a soup like that anywhere else

Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, as well as being accommodating to our larger group! The food was all delicious, high quality fish and ingredients. We will be back soon to try some more dishes!

My friend brought me here for lunch as we were attending a conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Walking in, we were greeted with friendly faces and a wall full of famous people who had dined at Miko Sushi, from Alexander Mogilny to Kristen Kreuk.
I ordered the Deluxe Assorted Sushi. It filled me for lunch. The individual pieces consisted of a variety of fish and were fresh and delicate. The maki rolls were nice but really served to fill the stomach up.
I can see why a lot of celebrities come here. Price isn’t exuberant but definitely reflects the location. Miko Sushi serves good, simple, classic sushi.
