Bland. Ordered over $100 of specialty rolls and they were terrible. Even the “spring rolls” (egg rolls) and garlic edamame was bland. Also, their wasabi is a strange color and has even stranger taste. Never again. Bye.

This place is so good! I ordered the gyoza for an appetizer which were pretty decent. Then I ordered the Toro (Tuna belly) and my goodness it was delicious! Perfectly slices and so juicy! I also ordered the deep fried Philadelphia roll and the Escondido roll. The Philadelphia roll was pretty decent! Nice crunch and reliable flavor as always! The only thing I didn’t like was the way it was cut on a slant.. this always makes it harder to eat.. The Escondido roll was also pretty good to, the rolls named after the city they are in never fail! Over all a great experience! They consistently filled my water and the servers were very kind! This is a neighborhood gem and I will be back!

Food was great. Service was not the best. Food came out pretty quickly and was very delicious. Service was not the best but not horrible. Didn’t get refills on our drinks and some modification to our orders were not entered. I asked for some lemon slices for my food and the server never brought them. Had to stand up to go to the sushi bar to ask for them. The gentlemen was very helpful and sliced a few lemons for me but by that time my food was not as hot. Cost is very reasonable for the high quality of the food.

Excellent. Fresh and delicious. We had the Waimea, pipeline and yellowtail maki rolls and really enjoyed them all. Definitely coming back! By 12:20 they were packed – all but one table seated. Food was coming out fast, so no problem.

Unusual to have anything less than excellent things to say about this place but… I ordered the sesame chicken dinner. It took a long time to get, probably due to the fact that the place was very busy at 6 pm on Saturday. (A testament to it’s usually delicious food.) Once I got the chicken, I noticed it was WAY beyond cooked. Most of the pieces looked (and tasted) burned – the exterior was very, very dark brown in color. The chicken itself was fine but the outside coating was way way overdone – the burned taste overwhelmed both the sesame and chicken flavors. I recommend avoiding this dish on a busy night. My husband had ramen and loved it.

My girlfriend and I noticed that they were building Mikko Sushi on Grand a few weeks ago. Yesterday we decided to try it out. I must say, the decor was simple and clean. Everything visually was pleasing. The Entire staff was quick to greet us upon entering the restaurant. We sat down and almost immediately met with regular menus and a happy hour menu and they were taking our drink order simultaneously. We order 5 rolls and waited. The rolls were made by extremely fresh quality ingredients. I was overjoyed how great the rolls tasted and how fresh everything was. I would recommend this place 10/10. We will definitely be coming back. Happy hour prices were very reasonable.
