Fantastic hole in the wall find! I stopped in for lunch & tried the chicken bento w/brown rice. My chicken was tender & grilled to perfection. The rice was excellent! For only $10 this is the best deal in town!

I wanted to love this place, I wanted to give it 5 stars but I just can’t be dishonest. The owner is a nice guy but the food falls short of my expectations. Not enough toppings but lots of good Japanese style short grain rice. The beef teriyaki was good but just one skewer and the teriyaki sauce was watery. The chicken satay was super tiny pieces. Maybe offer two skewers per meal of medium sized meat pieces. The pork buns are good but not made in-house. Loved the eggplant, tofu and potato dish but yet again, not enough topping to rice ratio and could have used more eggplant.

Oh my goodness this place is YUMMY!! I ate it so quick I forgot to take a before picture! They make an amazing peanut sauce and pour it over a couple cups of white or brown rice and a few skewers of chicken! They also have steak too!!
All for under $7!
It’s a bit hidden but if you want the best bento in Ashland then you’ll find this place worth it!!

Amazing food. Bao are soft and fluffy and the pork filling is very flavorful. Bento is good and portions are generous. Great spot for a quick snack or lunch. No indoor seating and cash only.

Stanley will give you great food at reasonable prices. For years I have gotten a generous tray of brown rice and one or two chicken skewers slathered in yummy peanut sauce and dashed with terriaki sauce. It’s cash only but it makes the service faster.
