If you’re looking for a hole in the wall quaint, country style cooking this is the place for you. The service is fantastic. The staff is very friendly. The service is very quick.
You walk into the door in its seat yourself style with a bar option for diner style dining. The Decour style inside is rustic country kitchen with lots of pictures on the walls.
This is a new restaurant so there will be some kinks to work out as time goes but give them a chance.
The food was decent. Nothing to phone home to mom about but also nothing to complain about.
I ordered the country fried steak smothered in gravy with scrambled eggs onions and cheese and home fries. This was served with a biscuit. The biscuits were a little crumbly and sweet to the taste so if you like that style biscuit it’s right up your alley. The country fried steak was very good, fried to perfection. The gravy was a brown gravy instead of your typical Peppermill gravy so it was beef in flavor. My wife ordered the Costa omelette which is a Greek style omelette. She enjoyed it very much. The grits were particularly good, not too runny.
The staff is the real reason the restaurant got a overall score of four stars versus three. But keep in mind it is new and it will need some room to grow and I see that growth being positive. Food was a solid 3 star. Ambience and Decour was a 3 1/2 – 4 so gave them a 4. The staff was outstanding 5 star.
We will likely come to us establish again for dining at a later date if for nothing else just to see how much they’ve grown.

Who couldn’t love this place !?! It’s cozy , clean and my waitress was incredibly sweet and hardworking ! The Green Cove Kitchen is tucked nicely in the end of a cute strip mall near Dollar Tree and a coffee shop is across the street too . Spring Park with it’s lovely view of the St John’s river is also within walking distance of the restaurant . I ordered the fried catfish filet for my mom and myself . It was like I just cooked it up at home , very fresh and hot too . Not over breaded ! Just right .I ordered for take out and was served near immediately by the waitress I’ll picture …she’s so efficient , hardworking and kind ! Restaurant is clean , not fancy . I wasn’t there for decor anyway ! I’d give them a perfect score but I think the food presentation needs a little work… When I ordered the fish /fries/coleslaw , that’s all I got …I think something else needs to come along side for color …maybe a pickle or small dessert item??? I paid approx 11.00 per order, not bad . This is a competitive little town with wonderful sights and food too . Don’t let Green Cove Kitchen pass you by !

This place was so great! Mikie was so inviting and truly grateful to have folks in for lunch. He came to our table at least 5 times to check on things and give us a rundown of the menu. He even prepared us some of his secret pork rinds for us to take home. I highly recommend this place!

A hidden treasure! It blends in with the dollar tree next door. This place has excellent staff, very friendly and welcoming! I ordered the Cove hamburger and my dad had the flounder! We were shocked at how good all of it was, the fries are homemade and taste amazing! The cove had a homemade sauce on it that pulled all the flavors together! Their onion rings are also homemade and perfect, not oily at all! My fathers meal came with the collard greens and Lima beans, after tasting them my father said “you have to try these!” I found this surprising because he gets that combination of sides everywhere that offers it. So I tried them and ZING! It was the best collards and Lima beans I have had! This place really is a hidden treasure! We will definitely be eating here again!

The food was absolutely delicious. The brisket sandwich had that nice smokey flavor and very tender. The onion rings were cooked perfect with a battered not breaded coating. The sweet tea was not as sweet as most places, more like everyone else’s half and half. The fries were awesome too. I got the sweet bbq sauce it had a really good flavor too. The staff was friendly and good at their job.

WOW! This place has awesome food. I had the smoked brisket sandwich. This was the most tender brisket I’ve had.
Another had shrimp and oysters and another had fish and oysters. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our meat and sides. Fresh green beans were great. Cole Slaw was fresh, and not dripping in mayonnaise.

Everyone says how good the good is, but we wouldn’t know because we waited for over an hour and no food. We were the second party in the restaurant, but when several other tables got filled he prepared their food and left us for last. We did receive drinks but no refills. We paid for the drinks and chose to leave after finding out he was just starting our order. Another couple left ahead of us due to the poor service. Unless he gets someone that knows how to run a good business this place will be short lived.

TWO STARS! Only because the service was magnificent! Management Was absolutely horrible, not only is he the owner but the cook the as well. Food is alright but a bit pricey for greencove if you ask me. Iv tried the place a few times an noticed how he speaks to the employees, completely uncalled for..had my waitress in tear, I felt so bad for her. ALSO I noticed how the cook (manager) does NOT wear gloves while handling the food. With the COVID thing going on you’d he would be a little more cautious and professional while handling his customers food. Will be back but only for the service.

Best smoked Barbeque and more! Plenty of dine in room for spacing. located in the dollar store plaza 206 S. Orange Ave. Can’t miss the smoker right outside. Desserts and even milkshakes! Very friendly staff I ordered mine to go for lunch they were fast and I would have uploaded a picture but I couldn’t wait to try it and devoured it too quickly. Don’t miss this treasure!
