I’m not sure if this is owned by the same place is Sea Isle but if so… they are night & day. The one in Sea Isle is SO GOOD. We were so excited & were sadly super disappointed with this place. Got the islander fried combo – everything single thing was bland & flavorless. The scallops & flounder (overcooked), & the shrimp – tasteless. The crab cake had crab meat in it, you could visually see it, but the cake itself oddly didn’t have any flavor of crab.. it was just mush super bizarre. Also ordered the mussels – they were not cleaned properly/not debearded. The described “garlic butter white wine sauce” it came with – had zero taste of garlic or white wine in the sauce.. it was legitimately just melted butter.

Save your money and your appetite, because Mike’s Seafood in Ocean City, NJ, is a disgraceful rip-off. I’m not just disappointed; I’m disgusted by the sheer audacity of this place to serve such garbage while charging exorbitant prices. Don’t fall for the delusion that being “at the shore” means you’ll get anything remotely special here.
This isn’t a seafood restaurant; it’s a glorified operation in reheating food from a food delivery service, completely devoid of any freshness or flavor. The value proposition here is insulting. Imagine paying $25 for a plate of the exact same frozen fish you could pull out of the freezer aisle at ACME, alongside a pitiful handful of cold, stubby fries and a measly, two-bite container of coleslaw.
And don’t even get me started on their “clam strips” – nothing more than clam-flavored batter with not a single trace of actual clam. Craving a proper condiment? Forget it. You’ll be handed those pathetic, pre-packaged little packets of cocktail or tartar sauce, further cementing the feeling that nothing is homemade here.
Let me be unequivocally clear: the promise of “good seafood” just because you’re at the shore is a lie when it comes to Mike’s Seafood. I’m beyond disappointed.

This memorial day has been shadowed with rain and wind. Luckily, Mike’s Seafood of Ocean City saved this holiday. I took my family to this established yesterday and the sweet young lady at the counter took our order. She was patient and even talked me into getting the lobster ravioli. Even though this is the busiest weekend in Ocean City, my family was met with quick service. Our meals were hot and cooked with love. Now, this lobster ravioli made my taste buds dance. I wish this dish was on the menu all year round because it was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend Mike’s Seafood of Ocean City to anyone who is looking for a tasty meal.

Wonderful service! My food was ready in 10 minutes. The guy who took my order complimented my shirt. The only thing I would suggest would be to add utensils and napkins in the bags. I wasn’t sure if I was going to eat there or take it with me but I decided at the last second to take it with me so it wasn’t his fault. The shrimp were HUGE and so good! Same with the crab legs. I wanted crab legs so bad but all of the other restaurants in OC only had crab cakes or lump crab stuff. I’m so glad I found this place.

I ordered the islander fried combo and the soft shell crab sandwich. It’s not the worst but definitely not the best seafood I’ve had in the area. My complaint would be that the flounder was dry and the crab cake tasted like the cheap premade ones you get from a box in the frozen section at the grocery store as it didn’t have much crab to it. For the price of $33.99 for the fried platter I was expecting a little bit more in terms of freshness. However the soft shell crabs sandwich was fantastic. This was extremely fresh had no fishy taste and was fried to perfection although it came with a small bag of chips not fries I would definitely get it again (cost $13.99). All in all I would return but would stay away from the fried platters as they just aren’t worth the price tag.

Terrible. I was excited to get my 14 year old seafood while at the beach. We ordered the tilapia and crab meat as well as the shrimp and scallops. First of all, it was $80 for two take out and fries, second, it was in a butter sauce that leaked all over my car and lastly the taste was bland. Only 6 shrimp in this huge container, we laughed, but really we were angry. I don’t have money to waste on a place like this. I hope they see this and actually apologize or offer the correct amount of food you should get for the price we paid.

I spent the day at the beach and it was beautiful. We decided to have dinner outside at Mike’s Seafood in Ocean City. I ordered the fried flounder platter with fries, a side of Cole slaw and a ginger ale. $35! I was taken aback at the price and questioned the cost with the very nice server. I asked how many pieces of fish I would receive and if it was fresh, as advertised on the menu. I was assured it was fresh, 2 pieces and I would not be disappointed. Guess what, I was very disappointed. Not fresh, no flavor and dry. Even the French fries were dry. How do you mess up French fries. To make it worse, the 2 packets of ketchup were watery and not good. The Cole slaw was good and the soda was cold. I managed to eat one piece of fish, a few fries and all the Cole slaw, the rest went in the trash. My friend had the lobster bisque and was equally unsatisfied. Mike’s seafood needs to up their game if they want to charge high prices for substandard food.

Had Mike’s for dinner for the first time tonight. I’m not a seafood person, so this was the first time I’ve tried lobster and crab. The crab tasted fantastic, however, the portion of crab (as seen in the picture) was not worth the money we spent on it. I know snow crabs are smaller, however, for the lack of meat in the legs they should have given us more of those legs. The crab legs we got were not worth $26.99. We also got fried clams, calamari, and the lobster dinner. These were all pretty good as well. The three stars is mainly because the quantity of the food does not match the price.

We had high hopes for this place. We had a order for 4p. The people working the counter were very nice, and the place was clearly busy. Almost every thing seemed like it was out of a bag frozen food. And grossly over priced (total $130) for the quality of food. And likely not local seafood. Fish and chips, definitely frozen pub fillets. Fried oyster platter, muddy and def frozen. Soft shell crab sandwich, overly breaded, likely frozen and it’s peak soft shell season. Each of these came as platters with fries which were horrible, unsalted, and various levels of cooked. From barely fried mushy to, over fried, and the other was probably fine but got soft in the big heavy plastic to go containers on the 5min ride home. (Hint: Find better containers if 75% of your menu is fried.) Lastly the lobster roll, this came on what looked like the top of a Kaiser roll folded in half to make a “bun”, with soft soggy brown end lettuce (how soggy on a chilled sandwich? That means it was wilting already) and a crappy bag of chips for $28. And was likely frozen langostine. Unlikely to return.
