This is a old working town corner bar. If the walls could share the stories that this place has seen. We went there to reminisce about our family that lived and worked in Salem. The food was good and the service was helpful and pleasant. We understand that Friday evenings are very busy.

Unassuming restaurant on the corner with great food and even better service. I got the 10oz Ribeye cooked to a perfect med-rare with broccoli and brussels. I was honestly skeptical walking into the place, even more so when the steak came out. Ribeye isn’t typically served with au jus, but I was practically drinking it by the end. I thought the orange slice and single leaf of spinach was kind of funny. In the end the steak was amazing so I don’t care about the presentation. Where else can you get a 10oz ribeye with two sides for $20??? Josie was super friendly and so was the bar-back.

Long time customer. Father in law knows the owner and I’m sure he’d be ashamed. Buckle up for this one!
Wife ordered lasagna which came.out ice cold in the middle. Sent it back to have it brought out on the same plate with the same piece of toast (missing a small bite) and the lasagna was chopped up into literal mush. You know when I get lasagna it’s a nice large piece not sloppy Joe reheated in a microwave.
When we told our waitress it was unacceptable she took it right back and understood BUT …. Moments later some older manager woman came out with the plate of slop in hand and with attitude asked “what is wrong with my food?” We told her we didn’t pay for microwaved food that isn’t even lasagna anymore. She stated “It’s the same flavor”. She was so arrogant and nasty my wife literally cried at the table.
What a shame someone with this level of customer service works at an establishment that’s supposed to provide great customer care. I used to come here so much and I’ll never return.

Mike’s is a bar with a resteraunt attached. You have to navigate a maze of uneven floors to get from one to the other. Significant tripping hazard especially for seniors. We had a group of 12, seated in a large alcove. The small room, bare walls, and piped in music made conversation impossible.
Our server was pleasant and efficient. 15 min from orders to salad delivery. Another 20 till food started coming.
Mike’s has a nice menu with a second sheet of specials. My partner and I ordered egg plant parm and chicken dejanova.
Salads were premade. Simple lettuce, tomato and 1/2 oz of dressing.
Without going into a bunch of culinary mumbo jumbo, we did not care for the food. Period. Hated the food. Won’t go back.
Parking was in the street. Prices were ok. Portions were large but if you hate the food, who cares if there is a lot of it.

Delicious! Great taste and portion size was good. Very high quality food! Blackened Chicken Alfredo with roasted red peppers and spinach was perfect. Coconut Shrimp was soooo good! Service was great too. He was very attentive! Highly recommend this place!
