This place is great. The atmosphere is comforting and inviting, the staff are incredibly friendly and the food on top of that makes this a very enjoyable time. If you are thinking of coming, do it! It’s amazing. Me and my boyfriend normally get the mikado roll which is a special and the calamari. It’s amazing.

This used to be one of my favorite sushi places, however, food quality and service have suffered recently. I only order sushi from this place, but this last time I was there, one of my shushi rolls had rubbery pieces of fish (supposedly tuna) that I could not chew (kind of disgusting). The fish quality they use is not the same anymore. They had a new sushi chef that day but this was not the first time I’ve noticed that their sushi rolls were bland and lacked flavor. The owner could have offered to make me a new roll or not charge me for that one. But he didn’t, and I would have declined anyway.

We went for a friends birthday last night. 1st we saw a roach crawling and the waitress flicked it on another guess… then she already didn’t want to serve us from the start… We then paid our bill and was told we didn’t pay our bill and the manager didn’t even extend an apology for their mistake… So no I don’t recommend them at all…

This place is very busy and so sometimes it feels like the food is rushed more than it should be, but the teppanyaki chefs are usually friendly and attentive and we have always enjoyed the hibachi meals. The sushi is reasonably priced and a great option as well.

Maybe I’m stubborn but Mikata has always delivered such good food with great service that I’ve never really ventured anywhere else to get Japanese food.
For me, it’s the best sushi I’ve ever had. Tastes extremely fresh and well prepared. Decent prices and nice atmosphere.

I come to mikatas maybe every 2 weeks and I always enjoy my meal I went last night and ordered salmon I don’t think the salmon was fully cooked and I have been sick ever since I ate it I left around 9:30 and decided to call and let them know what was going on since I am a regular customer and they told me they couldn’t do anything about it which is crazy so I will not be going back I spent $60 all to be sick and throwing up all day

In Auburn for the weekend & my cousin took me here. The food was great! The chef was friendly and cooked everyone’s food how they wanted it! You also get big portions of the food they are not stingy!
