This place is Amazing!! The whole experience was top-notch and completely unexpected. Mikado is located in an old shopping plaza, so I certainly wasn’t expecting much on the inside, but wowza!!

This place never disappoints, the food is top notch. The atmosphere is very soothing, and the service is excellent. The sushi is always on point, and the lunch specials are very much so fairly priced, for what you get. I will gladly pay just under 12 dollars for a bento box. Not only is the food delicious, it is also filling. One meal and I don’t think I want to eat the rest of the day, which is perfect for those who are trying to watch their caloric intake. It’s crazy to think that this place isn’t more popular. I can imagine people from all over the state flooding in to try it.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants around. After reviewing the other reviews I asked our waiter about tipping policy. They changed their policy and employees get to keep their tips now so like feel free to tip your waiter.

I do enjoy Mikado. The dining room is stylish and modern. Service is very prompt and friendly. I really do enjoy the food. I am a particular fan of the Sexy Jalapeno and the Tuna Spoons. If you find yourself in the area and appreciate nice sushi Mikado is definitely worth a visit.

I am a huge fan of good sushi, so I was hopeful when I saw this place had 4.7 stars. The service certainly needs improvement. We came in as a party of three. We asked for chopsticks and were only given two pairs because apparently they were out. We asked for a minute to look at the menu and were given about 15 minutes so our waiter could talk to her coworkers with her back toward us.

Nice clean atmosphere. Sushi was flavorful and delicious the only reason for my 4 star rating was the service. She kept ignoring that we needed drink refills took forever to check if we needed anything waited a long time to get the check because she was too busy talking with coworkers. Even when entering restaurant there was no one there to greet us and sit us we had to wait. There was only 2 other tables with ppl so it wasn’t a busy night. Everytime we had questions about sushi she didn’t know anything

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It was my first time having sushi, and the Sunny Flower roll was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I also had the chicken Hibachi with the noodles, clear soup, and salad. The noodles were the best I’ve eaten in a restaurant. The clear soup, which I’d never had before, was like a bowl full of comfort.

The absolute best sushi in miami county. Their deep fried sushi is amazing, try the crazy Friday roll or the Ohio roll they are both so good!! They also offer hibachi and their teriyaki chicken with their noodles are really delicious. I love this restaurant so much it is a true hidden treasure in our own backyard.

We went around 5 on a Saturday and were seated quickly. We ordered quite a bit of food and it came out quickly. It was delicious and nobody left a bite of food on their plate. We ordered gyoza and crab Rangoon as appetizers and they were delicious.

How is there this great of a restaurant here?!? Hidden gem hole-in-the-wall. The sushi rolls were fabulous. This also the first place I’ve seen in the Dayton area that has clear soup on the menu. I love their Colorful Roll I will be back!!!
