Mika Sushi 3 is hands down one of my favorite sushi spots around Denver. Located in a shopping center in University Hills, I feel like this is a hidden gem that people who live close by know about and not many others outside of that area. We will drive the 18 minutes from RiNo to this location no problem for the food, the super friendly staff, and the mostly quiet vibes in there. Spicy tuna hand rolls and the manhattan roll are two must orders every single time, but we always try something different as well.
These photos are from many experiences there, and they even sometimes (especially if it’s slow) bring your order out on a boat or with dry ice and an ice sculpture on it. The to-go business is always busy when we are dining inside as well, love seeing this place successful and thrive.
They do have other locations, but this is the only one we have been going to for a few years now and will continue to frequent!

The sushi here was really good and the prices are even better!! Those salmon sashimi slices are the biggest I’ve ever seen. They’re absolutely massive. The smoked salmon wasn’t the best and probably won’t get it again. The normal salmon wasn’t the freshest I’ve had but it’s still solid for the price! 100% will be back.

I’ve been here a few times now and think the prices are very affordable. There is a lunch deal for under $20 that comes with 3 rolls and a soup and salad.
Service was great, my mum and I had a great time!
(In the photos – 1 lunch combo, 1 special roll, 2 cups green tea)

We had the most wonderful experience at Mika Sushi 3 thanks to Amy! From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely respectful. She made us feel welcomed and cared for the entire time.
What truly set her apart was the extra effort she made for my son. She surprised him with a beautiful ice sculpture, and it absolutely made his day. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and meant so much to us. You can tell she takes real pride in creating memorable experiences for her guests.
On top of the outstanding service, the sushi was amazing — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Between the exceptional food and Amy’s top-tier service, this was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had.
Amy is truly one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had, and we can’t wait to come back!

I took my 14-year-old daughter to Mika today while visiting in Denver. Wow! We received an outstanding level of service and the food quality was incredible. My daughter kept saying, “This is SOOO GOOD!” Lol She had the shrimp yaki udon and a California roll (6 pieces). I had the dancing shrimp roll (8 pieces) and a spicy tuna roll (6 pieces). All 3 rolls were super-sized and delicious! Our waitress was very attentive and we especially loved the presentation of our meal (see video) – hats off to the sushi bar staff! We will definitely be back! Great experience!

Mika Sushi has very nice staff, a welcoming atmosphere and a clean restaurant. Check out this amazing custom-made sushi platter. The sashimi was fresh and presented spectacularly. They are true artists and have pride in their work. I will definitely be going back!

That was the best sushi experience I’ve ever had! It’s super fun when you order in a shared format so that everybody can try a piece or two of a variety of rolls. As you can see in the photos, if you order enough rolls they serve it in a really cool boat with an ice sculpture and dry ice for extra effect. We ordered I think 7 different types of rolls and they were all great. The tornado roll was amazing. The amazing roll was also amazing. My new favorite sushi joint!

Ok, I randomly saw this place next to my eye doctor and decided to try it out. I was so pleasantly surprised. Servers were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was nice but the presentation was above and beyond. It felt like a Sushi experience.

This previously was a 2-star review, but I’m bumping it up to a 4-star. It’s still not perfect, but the quality has gone way up over the last year or 2. And you definitely want to do dine-in instead of delivery. My office is right across the street and the sushi is never fresh by the time it gets there. Dine-in is great though.
