If Erie, PA had a magazine highlighting reasons to visit or live there, Mighty Fine Donuts would be front-page material, easily a top-five feature. This place is as close to the perfect donut shop as you’ll find. The donuts are incredibly flavorful, moist (never dry!), and the variety is impressive, there’s truly something for everyone.

The service is just as sweet as the treats. The folks behind the counter are some of the friendliest around, making the experience even better.

Parking was a breeze with spots right out front, and we were in and out in just 5 minutes. Honestly, I would’ve bought way more if they kept longer!

If you’re ever passing through Erie, this is an absolute must-stop.

A local recommended your shop and we’re so happy we listened! So far, we’ve sampled a cinnamon pinwheel, the coconut, the maple and bacon, the pb& chocolate &
the cherry. It’s so difficult to decide which is our favorite; we’ll have to return! The service was fantastic – just the right amount of helpful friendliness. We enjoyed looking at all the murals in the neighborhood.
Update: the cinnamon is the strong contender…

Amazing donuts. Very fresh, tons of options, and so so good! We didn’t get there until 10:45am, and I was afraid the variety would be sparse but I was wrong. They were still stocked with fresh delicious donuts and fry cakes. The staff was very friendly. They also sell other baked goods such as cookies and pepperoni bread and coffee. It’s just a take out place, so there aren’t any tables. So worth the slight detour on our way to Presque Isle.

I hate standing in lines, but there are certain times a line of 20+ people is a positive sign. Mighty Fine Donuts is one of them.

As an out of towner, I was shocked to see how many people were waiting, but I knew that meant these donuts must be incredible. And boy were they ever! We even came back the next morning to get more before heading home. The staff was very helpful explaining what the shop is best known for (get the raspberry jelly inside out and the glazed twist!), and I only wish I had another day or two to try out even more varieties. Will definitely stop back if in the area again!

We found Mighty Fine Donuts while searching for coffee shops on Maps. Since Guides can be pretty critical, we were impressed to see so many glowing reviews and a solid 4-star rating — so we hopped in the car to check it out.

The case was full of tempting choices, and everything looked amazing. The maple cream donut was absolute heaven — the glaze had just the right touch of maple to balance the thick, tender dough. The edges were perfectly crispy, and the texture was unlike any donut I’ve ever had. The glazed twist was equally delicious.

The coffee was very good, though a little too hot to enjoy right away. The only real downside was the lack of seating — no tables or chairs inside, despite the large open lobby, and no benches outside either. We ended up eating in the car.

That said, the donuts were so good we went back in for more. Definitely worth the stop! It was so good, we brought friends with us the following morning because donuts this good need to be shared with friends. And best of all…maybe prices were insanely cheap!!! No wonder people were walking out with two and three dozen…

We heard a lot of praise for Mighty Fine Donuts and decided to try them – twice. Needless to say, we found all of that praise to be more hype than fact. The donuts are just “okay” and I would call them almost “average.” And parking is an absolute nightmare, making one question going there before you even walk in.
But the very best and freshest donuts are from H&K on West Lake Road in Millcreek, and parking is never an issue.

Went on a Tuesday. Lady was nice and got a dozen donuts and the music they played was very nice for a morning starter. Every staff member has seemed to like their job from what I could tell and this place is mighty-fine underrated.

I have enjoyed the finest doughnuts in Erie Pa. for over 40 yrs. I had some the other day only to notice I was taken by shrinkflation ( some items were considerably smaller!) PLEASE DONT CHANGE YOUR PRODUCTS AT ALL, PLEASE.

Delicious donuts. There are various selections to choose from. We tried Glazed twists (local favs), maple bacon, apple fritter and peanut butter cream, and love everything!
