This is now my new favorite BBQ place! The service was absolutely amazing. We felt like we were at a five star fine dining establishment. Donnie D was our server and he was incredible! Never an empty cup, never left waiting, and an amazing attitude. And for the quality and quantity of the food you get, SO AFFORDABLE. Trust that we will be back. I told my in-laws I was craving ribs, so we went here :3 I knew of this franchise but had never been before, and it was definitely an excellent choice! First off, it’s the best cornbread I’ve ever had, period followed by my 1/2 ribs that melted in my mouth with every bite It was extra special with my favorite soda, Cheerwine ❤️ Everyone really enjoyed their meal ☺️ my father-in-law and husband didn’t leave a single bite on their plates , but my mother-in-law and I had leftovers and a delicious lunch today and last but not least, dessert both were excellent and the perfect portions to share

Easily some of the best and most tender BBQ I have ever had and I’m from Texas. The Well Fed was the perfect amount of food to try a little bit of everything between 2 people. And those house pickles?! If they had sold them by the jar, there would be at least 2 in my suitcase. We sat at the bar so people were constantly checking on us but not in an annoying way.

Incredible meal and hospitality at Midwood for a solo dinner at the bar. I had the four meat plate, of which everything was great, and the apple bread pudding for dessert which I took half home cause I was full.
It’s clear with the ratings and also my experience that Midwood Smokehouse is in the conversation for best bbq restaurants in the US. The food is excellent and what really takes them to the highest echelons is the service and hospitality. Some places have really dialed in the formula for a great experience and it’s also clear why when I asked AI where would it suggest for one meal in Charlotte, it led me to Midwood Smokehouse.

service was great, their beer selection was pretty good especially for a bbq place. was in town and was craving some nice southern bbq, we really liked the hush puppies, bacon wrapped jalapeños and the ribs and sides. we came towards the tail end of them closing and were not sure if that’s why the rest of our meats were not as up to par. the service was great and the banana pudding at end made up for that

Solid place to eat BBQ. I grew up in Kansas City, so I have an extremely high bar when it comes to BBQ. Midwood had absolutely INCREDIBLE pulled pork. While their sauces weren’t my favorite (probably more to do with regional-preference than anything else), I did really enjoy the ribs and they were flavorful enough that you didn’t really need sauce anyway. Would recommend Midwood!

Pre ordered the cheesesteak sub two to be exact was disappointed that I could not choose two separate sides had to call in and explain the website would not allow me to choose a different side for my second sub order-as I wanted fries with one and bacon wrapped jalepenos with the other because I had them before and really enjoyed them-was told it’s not a problem that they would “take care of me” – I arrived to pick up my food told the person at the window my name he says “oh you ordered the bacon wrapped jalepenos I said yes and collected the order, I drove 15 minutes back home only to be greeted with rock hard burnt bacon wrapped jalepenos! Wow I feel like they did it deliberately I called to complain and was offered a refund but I wanted the food remade they obliged- the second photo is the food remade! Still burnt I have ordered from here religiously this is not how they have been served in the past I guess I will have to find a new smokehouse very disappointed idk maybe they have a new cook ♂️ will not be eating these! Or here again for that matter!

When a place is this crowded on Saturday afternoon, you know it’s gonna be good! Portion size is huge! Prices are reasonable and this staff is amazing! Ask for Avery.
Definitely get the pimento cheese fries! Out of this world good. With brisket or BBQ it’s enough for a meal.
